“My wife and I went here for one of the stops on our honeymoon. The golf cart ride from the remote parking lot was relaxing. We had a water front seat It was absolutely breathtaking. The food was amazing the waiter was friendly and took time to answer any questions we had. We will be back one of the best seafood restaurants we’ve been to.“

Herb's Country Deli Restaurant is an Amazingly Dope spot that has instantly become a top contender of Top 3 Best Breakfast Spots in the Southeastern CT area! At the same time they have also earned a 'Big Al's 💎 Gem Review'. I walked into a very warm and inviting welcome from the Owner's daughter named Ellen. She was so sweet and even introduced me to her father, Herb's who recently turned 95yrs old about a week ago. I was welcomed by the whole staff and I had such a wonderful server named Dawn! She is truly the Best!! Thank you Dawn! ❤️ I can keep going on and on about how great this spot is so.... Let me continue. The atmosphere is perfect. You get an instant nostalgia experience dining in an amazing family owned restaurant a few tables over from the wonderful man named HERB who started it, now retired, enjoying breakfast with a couple of his family members ❤️ I seriously could not stop smiling the whole time I was there.😁 That was truly one of the best dining experiences I have ever had on my journey thus far. ❤️ Let's move onto the food, I ordered and reviewed a few things: 1. 2 slices of Blue Banana Bread & The Elvis- Banana, Chocolate & Peanut butter (comped to try) 💣 2. Sweet Potatoes Hash $8.95 👍🏾 3. One Blueberry Pancake $6.95 💣 4. Pulled Pork Omelet $18.95 💣 5. Glass of Ice Water 😋 💣 Everything they served me was absolutely delicious and my experience at Herb's Country Deli Restaurant was Perfect in every way. “I couldn't wait to eat the salad before I took the picture. Their salad dressing is addictive. The cauliflower usually comes with buffalo, but I prefer their tahini. The chicken schwarma platter is so big that we end up sharing it. They also have plenty of vegan options that are spectacular. They make the best falafel that I have ever tasted!“

“Ate here a few days ago! Everything was excellent! The Pomodoro Caprese Salad was good and the Veal Parmesan was excellent! Would definitely order it again! Raspberry Sorbet was amazing!!!! Staff is very friendly and wonderful! Definitely will eat here again! Great first time experience! ❤️❤️❤️“

“We frequent this spot during the summer months and the ice cream is good. Was disappointed last evening though as staff seemed in a hurry and a bit rude. One thing that should be address is the massive spider and bugs above where you stand to wait for your order . A good power wash would be good!! Love the ice cream though“

“Have been here several times and always enjoyed a great meal. Surprised by the recent lower rating but decided to go back and try the food anyway.
We enjoyed our soup and entrees. Service was good and staff helpful. Even prepared Prik Nam Pla for us when requested. Will go back again.“

“I liked this place. It’s solidly good. Everything is made to order with fresh ingredients. Their salsas could use some refining - not a lot of flavor & depth to them. but I liked everything else.
The chips are just standard thick corn fried tortillas chips so nothing great about them. I ordered the fried avocado soft taco which was fine except that the avocado was underripe so not ideal. The creamy chipotle sauce was very good but I think the avocado taco needs a savory salsa to offset the creamy avocado. I also had a pulled pork taco which was good - the salsa verse was good but not great. I will stop in again & try some other items.“

“Absolutely legendary experience at this spot - which is phenomenal.
The owner, Brian, took 30 minutes out of his day to talk to my girlfriend and I about the history of the area and the bar.
Drinks were phenomenal so was the food, truly an A+ environment.
Also, I had the best slice of cake in my entire damn life… I will be returning.“

“Disappointing. Not the friendly service you expect from Panera. I have been going here for years, and they changed all the recipes for the worse. The soufflés are not soufflés. They are puff pastry with scrambled eggs. The puff pastry is touch and doesn't cook well. Their baguettes used to be authentic. Now, they are a loaf of bread. The quality if the turkey has gone down. No more metal utensils. It is almost impossible to cut a soufflé with their cheap plastic knife. They don't check their coffee levels and they run out constantly. Complaints to the manager did nothing. You'd not hear the word thank you anymore. They don't ask for your pabeta rewards card. They don't ask if you want to use your rewards. They charge you the wrong amount. This can't all be the fault of the cashier. Where is the manager? I could go on.
Kid-friendliness: I have always brought my kids here, but they don't have anything geared towards kids. Beware of the highly caffeinated teas.“
