My friends and I cycle all over Stamford, New Canaan, Pound Ridge, Darien, and more …and about half the time they insist that we stop at “mother‘s” (as they call it) before we head to our respective homes. The staff is polite but when some leaves the door open it can get to hot or cold so of course they need to say something we were not raised in a barn door. “I have always driven up Hope Street and gone past this deli. Well, this week I finally stopped in. I ordered a chicken cutlet (My go-to deli sandwich) on a wedge with cheese, tomatoes and ketchup and mayo. First things first: they made a QUALITY QUALITY sandwich. The cutlet has a nice crisp to it, and was not dry but juicy. The breading was not overwhelming but just right. The cheese, bacon , tomato all meshed well. Nothing was too loose or too messy. Second the customer service was great. A great atmosphere to walk into. Its always nice when you are greeted by a smile, conversation and to see that person behind the counter is actually enjoying themselves.I went back again to try out their meatball parm. On. The. Money. The meatballs are fresh and REAL. I am a Polish American and we try and keep some Polish traditions alive, like Wigilia. We also love fresh kielbasa and perogies year-round. Being originally from Yonkers, NY I grew up used to REAL Polish food from a REAL Polish Deli. And if you’ve only gotten your kielbasa and perogies from Stop and Shop, then you’ve never had REAL Polish perogies and kielbasa. Get them from here and you’ll know what I mean.

I do not speak polish. And I have tried may of the other Polish deli’s around. I always enter with a “dzień dobry” which is good afternoon in Polish, and 85% of my Polish vocabulary. For reasons I can not understand, once all these other delis learn you don’t speak Polish you immediately become a second class citizen, and there is no hope of getting any help or explanations on all the wonderful variety of foods available. But not at Warsaw Deli. The new owner, Jan, was incredibly helpful. He even took the time to explain a few traditions I wasn’t aware of.

Even if you aren’t Polish go here, and try something new. Just ask Jan what to try!“

“Corbo's Corner Deli West came highly recommended for a professional learning training I was coordinating, and they did not disappoint. I worked directly with John and cannot emphasize enough how seamless and easy the entire process was. I trusted his extensive knowledge and expertise to choose the menu, and he did an amazing job. Even when I had to make a few adjustments the day before our large group order, the level of service remained exceptional.

The meals were delicious and a definite hit with our participants. Everything was delivered on time and exactly as requested. I truly enjoyed working with them and would absolutely recommend Corbo’s to anyone planning an event or large group order.

Parking: Only thing is, it’s kind of hidden in a building. You have to take a right as soon as you walk in. So no parking , street parking if you find some. I like to walk there instead.“
