“Friend of mine recommended the apple salad. There are two sizes and thankfully I ordered the small with steak. Supper impressed! Steak was not garbage at all. Not over cooked, tender and rubbed in pepper which I love. The salad was awesome. Good size for one person. I did change up the dressing to the vinaigrette and was really impressed. Look forward to this one again!“

“I saw 5 for food basing it off the amazing drinks. They do have pre packaged snacks which the adult snack pack was so good w dark chocolate almonds and fresh cut cheese. But the drinks were the show. The bartenders are so talented. I'm not a bourbon drinker but the male bartender made this smoked marshmallow drink that changed my mind. It's a small space but totally worth it!!!!“

“Today I had lunch there for the third time with a dear friend.I have to say everything I’ve had has always been incredibly delish! The macaroni salad is to die for— I could eat that by the bucketful!The owner, Jenna, is a delight. I watched her fastidiously arrange fresh cut flowers today. The place is adorable, the servers are terrific, and her chef is amazing! I’ve got to get there sometime soon for their breakfast.Loooovee the place. Go there. “Meii Tea has the best bubble tea in Springfield. I have had the hokkaido and jasmine green milk teas and both were great. The owners are incredibly nice as well. They let me sample one of their cakes and a creme puff and both were delicious. I would recommend the bubble tea and desserts here to anyone to try.“

“The Eatery did not disappoint! We were on our way back to MA and ordered breakfast sandwiches (B.E.C) and coffee to go. The coffee and sandwich were both amazing. Half of their sandwich was plenty of food and filling, but it was so good you had to eat the other half. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We can't wait to go back on our next trip to Connecticut.“

“I am so glad that Yellow King went in at The Bristol Bazaar. I host Paint Nights at the Bristol Bazaar and now that Yellow King is attached, I can send my painters over to grab something tasty. “We got a couple smoothies which were good and made with boxed mango concentrate and ice. It was a good value for the serving size. It had an old school convenience store vibe to it with really nice owners. However, the kitchen area was a little disorganized/messy and they were eating their lunch in the food prep area.“

“We were traveling through the arena on Hwy 84 at 6 am and wanted coffee. Caffe Italia was the only place open so we drove into Waterbury. Winding our way there we almost decided to turn around and then…there it was. This was like walking into a little Italian neighborhood hangout….with EXCELLENT espresso! At 6 am there was a group of local Italians, reading papers, playing cards and generally sharing the days news. It felt like being at home with family. Great atmosphere! Lots of specialty Italian food, cheeses etc. Super nice guy who made our espresso. We would definitely stop in again for more!“

“I searched high and low looking for a place to make my husband's special birthday cake which was a carrot cake cheesecake. Much to my surprise there aren't many places that make this type of dessert. However, Amy reached out to me and ultimately made the most delicious cake ever! She and her husband were very easy to communicate with and followed through with all of my special requests. I will surely be back for more special occasion cakes!“

“I've been coming to AJ's for over 20 years. literally every time I have friends from out of town visit me and want to have a drink and some good bar food we go to AJ's. every single one of my out-of-town friends always says this is the best bar food they've ever had in their life. I literally have friends who call me up to come to Meriden just to have food from AJ's. my kids are addicted to the food at AJ's as well . I can honestly say if I ever move out of Connecticut, AJ's is one of the very few restaurants that I would ever truly miss and want to stop by if I come back to Connecticut for a visit. Thanks for hanging in and being so committed to our city. with the type of food and friendliness that AJ's gives they could have been successful any place in Connecticut.“

“For those who live in the Cheshire/Prospect/Waterbury area, CHECK OUT NEWBROOK KITCHEN!!!! Fun and funky atmosphere and truly, some of the best food I've EVER eaten. Chef/proprietor Danielle Hartog Kostecki is gifted. A six-course meal that ranged from gnocchi over a spinach-artichoke purée to Wagyu beef sliders over sweet potatoes with a bleu cheese "fondue," this was an epic meal. “This was my favorite study spot in college, now I come here to read before my appointments in Waterbury. I love their specialty drinks, I usually pick a drink from their seasonal favorites when I'm here. They also have a really good chicken sandwich that I'll get if I'm here around lunch time. Staff is always so nice and quick. I feel comfortable hanging out here. The only issue was I noticed a lot of their seating has the pleather torn apart so badly you can't sit on it comfortably. The benefit of this place was their comfy chairs, so hopefully they get those replaced soon!“

“The only thing here is that they denied me a drink one time i walked in and i still had 10 mins before last call and the perseon saod we dont just serve anyone off the street at this time... I was so upset. I will never forget that. The owner must think he is better than the people who keep him in business if thats the way he treats us. Its us that keep him in business he should remind his bartenders that as well. Food is great but always wOut of wings..... Come on thats the go to food for the bar. But besides that the bartenders are nice and the bar is clean cheaper than Ledgends and some other bars.“

“This was hands down one of the best restaurants I have ever been to. My special guy's father is friend's with the owner & we brought family visiting from Italy for dinner. This was my first time trying the food, everything was delicious, portions huge. You can order larger, family style meals several days in advance & it's BYOB (love it). I was very surprised by everything as the outside along with the name of the restaurant doesn't remotely sound like an Italian restaurant. I would definitely take the ride just to eat here again.“
