“Fox on the Green is a newly opened restaurant at the Portland Golf Course on Bartlett, St. TheThe current restaurant owners renovated the existing lounge by enlarging the bar and adding more formal dining. Their menu consists of seafood, Italian food and common American meals. Four of us lunched there recently and the food was fantastic. I had the "Zuppa di peche" (fish stew). Another I had salmon. I learned about this location because I play golf at the course. The setting is nice as the restaurant seating area overlooks the 1st tee and 9th green. During the golf season the restaurant is quite popular but during the winter it slows down a bit. Come on down folks, lets keeps this place hoppin. The owners have 2 other restaurants, Red Fox, located in North Middletown near RT 372 and RT I-91. they also run the restaurant at Hunter Memorial Golf Course in Meriden. Food & service at these two are also excellent.“
