“The staff was very nice and there were plenty of flavor choices. Pricing was good, and hard ice cream was very tasty. They have some interesting sounding sundaes. Most are made with soft serve ice cream, but if you let them know that you have a gluten allergy I'd see if they could substitute it with hard instead. This could be considered a hidden gem.“

The ice-cream was delicious and the driver (unfortunately forgot her name, very sweet blonde woman) did a great job keeping up with the orders. The pricing was very fair and the flavors were very unique, people loved the different options! The staff were also super accommodating to our last minute attendee changes. “I just moved to town and was alone in my still empty house. The Burrstone Rd Friendly’s was close so I did a take out order online. It was done when I got there and the ladies working were so nice! The BLT was actually quite good on sourdough and the onion rings were awesome.“

“Manchester is my home town but I live 2000 miles away, but e when I return home I try to hit Shady Glen. SG is renown for its cheeseburgers and ice cream. Those are completely great choices, for sure, but I go down-menu for a scallop platter or whole belly clams. I get their fries and Cole slaw whenever I can. My mom accompanied me this trip, and just ordered French fries and Cole slaw, with a half-gallon of chocolate chip ice cream. I can't argue with those selections. Perfect. I got a hot fudge sundae with mint chocolate chip, scratching a childhood era itch. I love this place.“

“Italian ice is delicious and refreshing. You're able to sample flavors. There's sugarfree options as well. They have a drink that has gelato mixed with Italian ice. Service is always great. When it's hot outside, expect a little line but it moves pretty quickly. Inside is clean. There's several tables to sit at but I usually eat mine outside.“
