“I regularly go to Rita’s, but I was genuinely impressed by the excellent service provided by Johnny and Mila today. They were both so kind, welcoming, and especially patient. They let me try different flavors and made sure I was happy with what I ended up getting. I was having a pretty bad day, and their kindness honestly made it so much better. It was such a simple interaction, but they really went above and beyond to make my experience a pleasant one. “Best ice cream around town! We moved to the area last year and discovered this spot while driving one day. We visited once and never stopped coming back. My family and I get our sweet treats from here at least once a week. We love it so much we wish they were open all year round ☺️ but nonetheless we look forward to coming here during the summer months. “Great ice-cream and friendly staff. I was here for their free cone day to benefit MS. There was a very long line but some of the staff was outside offering samples so it was kind of fun. Everyone was in a good mood and chatting. Staff passed out lists of flavor offerings so people could get in and out quickly. The line did move steadily. There was also a fabulous face painter there for the kids and a musician performing outside. We'll done!“

Recently on their website and can’t believe everything that they have to offer: weddings, parties, graduations desserts in bulk …you can always get some of their favorites at Highland Park market in Manchester…I recommend a chipwich …Im sure most people would but also their spumoni slices, so good!“

“Sundeep is a great owner/guy! Big genuine smile and a warm welcoming energy. I took my mom in to get ice cream and we a had great customer service experience. She hadn’t been in years and Sundeep and his crew made it a great return. I asked for my signature creation loaded with toppings and Sundeep allowed me to determine the exact amounts I wanted. He went above any beyond and made the best cup of apple pie à la cold stone I’ve ever had lol if you’re in the area go get a scoop or two! And it smells like sweet waffle cone when you walk in!!“

“I’m literally only giving it 5 stars because the old owner Harvey was a good guy and very business savvy. He knew my name and what I always wanted. And he connected with his customers. And that kept a HUGE clientele.

The new owners don’t know my name and are unfriendly. They are not exactly cheap and I still support. It’s a nice spot in town. Residents in West Hartford frequent there. It would be nice for them to be friendly, adaptable, relatable, down to earth and get to know their regulars who support them.

I personally will try to continue to support.

“Overall, Ben & Jerry’s is a great spot to stop by for a scoop of ice cream! it’s been a staple of W. Hartford Center for many years now, and I’m grateful that it’s maintained such a long-term presence. The staff are always friendly, kind, and very efficient! The price is a little steep, but so is everything in West Hartford these days.

Overall, there’s a good selection of ice cream! I consume only dairy free ice cream, and usually they will have at least 2 to 3 flavors. The selection of dairy ice cream flavors is more expansive, and they truly have something for everyone in terms of taste. Their shakes and smoothies also looked delicious as well!

Unfortunately, the line is usually extremely long in the summer. The last time I was there, in late June, the line stretched all the way out the door. There were only two employees working, and they seemed quite young. They were doing a wonderful job, but it looked like a lot to juggle. In the warmer months, it may be helpful to staff more people due to the sheer volume.

I wanted to mention something that occurred at my last visit that concerned me. The line was extremely long. The couple in front of us had two medium-large sheepdogs. The dogs were extremely anxious and nervous being in such a long line and in a small and cramped space. They were clearly not doing well. A staff member kindly asked the couple to bring the dogs outside. They were obviously not service dogs as they had no vest or badge and were clearly not trained to be calm in stressful situations. The couple then proceeded to lie and say they were service animals. The staff dropped it, but I feel that a sign may be helpful for the front door stating service animals only. It was uncomfortable to see these dogs in distress in such a small shop, they were whining and very anxious.

“I went here bc while at the play area inside the mall a parent told me the Sweetwater establishment sold bottled water for $1 and that they were black owned so I had to check out the prices. I ended up buying ice cream at about $3 a cup. I have to say the best flavors are pistachio and chocolate (two separate flavors). I'll probably be getting pistachio every time I visit the mall. If you're in the mall definitely check them out.“

I went with vanilla gelato topped with juicy pear and kiwi melon Italian ice—a combination that was every bit as delicious as it sounds! My hubby went with vanilla custard and mango Italian ice, and he was one happy camper, too. 🥭
Our server was also so pleasant and helpful. She took the time to help us with our choices and made the whole ordering experience even more enjoyable.
