“My first order from Higashi and the food was very tasty. I wish I had gotten something that identified the sushis that were in the "Sushi Beginner", as there were several that I didn't recognize. My partner had Pork Gyoza, Chicken Tatsuta Age, and Beef Yakesoba. It was "all very good".“

“We are regulars here, and tonight was another example of why we will continue to frequent this business. We received the wrong order by accident when we picked it up. We called and they IMMEDIATELY rectified it by not making us come out there, but offering and delivering the correct order. We LOVE Buckland Grill and Pizza!!“

“Went here for lunch with my sister! I couldn’t believe how packed they were on a Monday! No wonder- the food and drink were ON POINT! Our waiter was very attentive and informative on wine. We shared the spinach and artichoke dip- delicious! I had the harvest vegetable bowl and added steak. The flavors mixed so well creating a palette of fresh, and my steak was cooked perfectly! My sister got the burger and a Cesar salad. The dressing was really fresh and lemony! The burger was delish as well! I will definitely be back! All the food I watched going by looked like 10 stars!“

“I have been going to Taste By Spellbound for years and followed them from Buckland Hills to the now South Windsor location. I have never been disappointed, the coffee is the best in the world, (and I've traveled the world) and the whiskey bars are to die for. I always buy them up whenever I'm lucky enough to get them. The staff is always incredibly polite and helpful and always makes me feel welcome. Everything from the employees to the pastries to the environment as a whole is one of a kind. I have sent many friends and clients to Taste by Spellbound over the years and everyone that I sent there has high praise. I love this place and look forward to visiting every week. I'd give this place and the employees a straight 10 if I could. Great job, all.“

“We had an incredible dining experience while celebrating our anniversary tonight. It was our first time visiting and certainly won’t be the last. We had a table outside and our server, Eric, mentioned it was one of the best in the house. We couldn’t agree more as it was a beautiful setting and view. Eric was wonderful - so attentive. Our meals were delicious, we had the lobster pasta and stuffed shrimp, then ended our night with a champagne toast and dessert on the house, an amazing touch of thoughtfulness and hospitality. Exceptional service. Thank you for making our special occasion even more special! We will 100% be back!“

“Wanted to try a new pizza place... Found this place in a fb group with great reviews... Was in the area... 1 hr ride for us. Place is nice, employees were very friendly, cool drinking glasses, & pizza was very yummy. We were impressed with everything. We recommend going here if you want delicious pizza (only thing we had). “I love this place! Been coming here for years, whenever I'm visiting from out of town I always make it a point to stop and eat here. The food is always great, fresh and homemade, their homemade corn chowder is awesome. The waitresses are always friendly and helpful and there's plenty of parking.“

“I don't know what's wrong with the general tsos chicken fresh and delicious and the picture is the prove. Eat the food when it fresh cook don't let it sit for hours then decided to eat it and then complaining food is not right.“
“This review is a part of my quest of visiting all CT breweries. Around 2019 I came to Connecticut Valley Brewing Company and bought one of each beers they had. It ended up being about 4 dozens of delicious beer. So I planned this visit to the taproom only as a formality. However, the overall experience was a bit worse.
The place is big - it has a huge indoor space with multiple seating options, including couches. No separation, just one big room. Plus there is a big patio for warmer months. The went for a plane theme and decorated the room with it. It is a bit noisy inside when there are many people, but still manageable. The brewery has an excellent selection of beers of various styles. Since I tried every beer they had over the years of going to beer festivals where CTVBC is always present, I can say that their beers are amazing. Every style they produce is delicious. From the latest visits I would recommend Spiked Smoothie Strawberry Lemonade (Fruit Beer) and Camper's Maple Stout, as they just boast rich taste. You can also order beer flights, although the options are limited to 12 taps only.
There is a food served via a separate business which coexists in the same building - Birdhouse Coffee Shop. And this was a downer. I will leave a separate review for this business, as blaming the brewery for the quality of food is unfair. But this coexistence means, that you are now limited in food options and cannot bring your own or order from a food truck. So you're stuck with a very mediocre food and slow service.
Other problems I experienced were:
- Messing up my order. One bartender asked for beer numbers from the menu, while the other one asked for the names. The latter one messed up my position.
- By the end of Monday, which is not too busy of a day, restrooms lacked the paper towels.
Overall, the beers are great. The theme of the taproom is awesome. The service might have been better.“

“The Pub is a great, chill place to hang out with friends and see great local bands. Lots of T.V's for the games too. I hightly recommend!“
