“Great little restaurant, lively and colorful atmosphere. The only change I would make would be to make the pinchos appetizer a main meal with a bigger portion of pinchos and maybe some rice. They were so delicious. Also, the churros did not taste freshly made to order, they were cold and hard. Would not get those again. My plantain crusted cod was cooked perfectly and the coconut lobster sauce was delicious with it. Great menu.“

“Y’all… I wish I could make this review as loaded as my plate! I ordered the oxtails with rice and peas, plantains, mixed veggies, and mac and cheese. Babyyy every bite was giving soul and intention.

Let’s start with the oxtails…fall-off-the-bone tender, smothered in a rich, savory gravy that had chunks of potatoes and carrots soaking up all that goodness. Straight comfort in a box. The sides? Whew. The plantains were sweet and caramelized just right. The veggies? Not an afterthought! They were seasoned and still had a nice bite. The rice and peas were dangerously addictive.

But let’s talk about that mac. A lot of folks claim their mac and cheese is it, but this one? No debate. Whoever’s in the back made it with love and a mission. Creamy, cheesy, and baked just right. Top-tier. One of my favorite restaurant macs in a long time. Don’t play with them! They know flavor here!“

“Amazing place to grab a salad, smoothie, or a wrap! We ordered takeout and they waited to dress our salad and fill the wrap until we got there so that nothing had the chance to get soggy, such a simple but brilliant way to enhance our meal! They also sealed my smoothie so it was possible to keep it in a bag or fridge until you’re ready to drink it which would be perfect for someone taking this as food on the go.

The quality of the food was also superb, the chicken was really tender and the greens were super crunchy. You can just tell they use high quality ingredients which makes the idea of paying $13 for a salad worth the price tag.

Would 100% recommend and will be coming back to try lots of their delicious salad options soon!“

“I am always suspicious of places that don’t focus on one cuisine but we have ordered twice now from Yuki Kitchen and have been impressed by the authenticity of the menu. We ordered Simmered Shitake mushrooms, Lucky Pink Radish, and smashed spicy cucumbers and all were amazing. We also ordered Yaya Balls which are deep fried octopus. My son had them in Japan on a visit a few weeks ago and said they tasted just as good. He was also excited to see a brand of iced tea he had in Japan. We tried their dosa and lunch bowl (goat korma), which was absolutely delicious .The spicy level was just right for us.The portion size was also generous. The service was friendly and attentive,overall making the dinning experience even more good.Prices are reasonable,making it a decent option for a budget friendly indian meal. “First, to call SOB a hidden gem would be doing it a disservice, per all the five-star reviews! The better term is off the beaten path, but undoubtedly worth a purposeful trip. I am admittedly a bit of a sandwich snob, and Michelle's porchetta special did NOT disappoint. As a matter of fact, she was so genuinely charming and sincere in her description of it, that all three of us ordered the exact same thing, and the full-size grinder at that. This was a BIG sandwich, even by my standards, and the components were all top-notch. Somehow, the meat was still juicy and tender, even sliced thin and griddled on the flat top. The provolone was melted nicely, and the marinated peppers had just enough bite to balance the richness. She gave us a cup of au jus for dipping as well, which was greatly appreciated. Taste and value aside, Michelle may just be the start of the show. Her hospitable kindness and welcoming spirit made the food even better, to the effect that we were already planning our next visit before we even left. Parking: Pull right to the back and park. In the summer time you can grab a cold Greek frappe coffee and walk to the back dock to the boats and crew practicing.“

“Met a dear friend from New York at Bloodroot for lunch. From the street the outside looked small, plain and not very interesting. As we walked through the gate to the “side door” we were greeted by the water view and a lovely outdoor seating area - for another day, too chilly today! We stepped in the door and were immediately welcomed by Noel. From that point on, we were cared for and fed by Noel and her amazing cooks and kitchen staff - thank you Carol, Lailla and Yordanos. The food was excellent, the decor of vintage tables & chairs, hanging rugs off the rafters (one designed and hand woven by Noel) and lovely photographs on the walls, was both elegant and homey. We wandered the book store and bought their cookbook. What a wonderful experience to share with a dear friend. I highly recommend this amazing restaurant experience to all those who love vegan offerings and enjoy an intimate caring environment. Excited to return soon.“
