“We had a delicious date night dinner out at The Spread. We sat in the covered, heated outdoor dining space and the lighting and fireplace made it very cozy and enjoyable. The food was delicious - we ordered smaller plates to share. The service was very attentive, almost to a fault. The bus staff was very on top of filling our waters the second we took a sip and taking plates the moment the last bite was taken. There were many staff members in the outdoor space that we felt that we were being watched as we ate, and they were ready to pounce and clear the table as soon as we finished something. We did feel rushed, which was the only downfall of the meal.“

“A hidden gem! Conveniently tucked away in an alley right around the corner from the Fairfield Theater Company, this is the perfect place to grab drinks before or after a show! They have a fastball draft list of craft beers and the espresso martini was to die for. “I came around lunch time. Girl in the bright pink hair was the hostess at the time, she was hiding in the corner sipping her drink at the bar. Waited for about 5 minutes or so until someone from the kitchen said something. She wasn’t welcoming. Asked what the vegetables were she said she didn’t know which is fine, but didn’t offer to ask…had such an attitude! Didn’t expect her to be bubbly, but could’ve been at least neutral. The gentleman Gilberto I believe his name was, correct me if I’m wrong, took over and the service was much better. The desserts were amazing, I would recommend ordering desserts which I usually don’t, but here I would. We came with a good mood and ended in a good mood thanks to him. She definitely needs a bit of training. She was pleasant towards the end.“

“I’ve been dining at Molto’s first location in Fairfield for years since I was in college, so I was excited to try their second location in Darien Commons! The restaurant is absolutely stunning and has the same menu we know and love. You can’t go wrong with any of their homemade pasta dishes or pizza, and you could make a meal out of their appetizers, like Italian tapas style. The short rib was cooked perfectly in our risotto, and the bolognese sauce for my pasta was delicious. Fantastic drinks too. Servers were very attentive and food came out quickly. We went early on a Sunday afternoon and it was a wonderful experience.“
