“Picked up food here twice. Their pizza is excellent, but it's small inside the restaurant and usually very busy. Not many places to park on the street. There was a line and barely room to stand while picking up food. Probably best to eat here as opposed to pick up.“

“Went to 88 Keys with friends for an evening out at their reccommendation. We were not disappointed. It is a small place so reservations are required. My husband remarked several times how nice it was to go somewhere that was not super crowded. It was very nicely decorated and comfortable. We enjoyed wonderful live music and a good meal. Service was exceptional and the dessert just amazing! It was a lively experience all around.“

Truly great beer selection, not just the usual 5 different hazy NE IPA most places put up as their craft beer. There was 1 Belgian, 2 Germans, a bourbon barrel aged beer, as well as few Excellent Local beers. Do yourself a flavor, go for the beer and stay for the delicious food.Highly recommended!“

“The Barnwood is our go to for occasions as well just to eat out. The wait staff are very good . Our orders always arrive promptly, and as ordered. In addition to a well rounded menu there always are wonderful specials. We have never had a meal that we didn't like. The chef is inventive and steps outside of the ordinary with fish and meat selections. The only negative is that the acoustics are dreadful making it noisy when the restaurant fills up.Also the tables for two are small.“

“We went there for lunch before our ride on the Santa Express this afternoon. The lobster bisque was very good as were the coconut shrimp. My boyfriend had the shaved roast beef sandwich & fries & loved it. Our server was very attentive & engaging. We would love go back when we’re in the area again. You walk in, and everyone starts to know your name… The weight staff is always very friendly and often strike up a conversation which I find something special these days. The food options are always great, and there are always a few specials on the list that catch someone’s eye. The draft beer choices are always rotating and changing which is great; often locally sourced. The bar area is always bustling, and offers a free pool table for patrons. There is also a large covered outdoor dining area for fair weather eating.“

They do not offer food but there are numerous takeout options easily within walking distance (including next door). I stop in with some regularity and have always enjoyed the visit. “A personal favorite, I've been a regular here for years. Open late, insanely friendly bar tenders, (seriously, they are all great!) pool, darts, juke box. Cozy hole in the wall to grab a drink after work or meet up with a couple friends any night of the week. Karaoke on Saturdays! Holiday parties year round! When you're there, you're friends with anybody and everyone. I wish they had food, that's my only gripe. But there's a couple great local spots on the same block, so it's not a big deal.“
