“Surprisingly good vegan food! They have a set menu, but it seems like they frequently run out of things that are on it, so it's not incredibly reliable. Portions also run a lot smaller than I expected. At first, I was put off by this, but after actually eating, I found I was much more satisfied than I was expecting, so only a watchout there. “Wow....I was hungry waiting for someone to arrive at Union Station and decided to try Z Burger. Never had one so this was a first for me. The Staff was helpful and patient with my ordering. The selections and options were plentiful for a Fast Food operation...cheese steaks, hot dogs, turkey and plant based burgers. I ordered the double bacon cheeseburger and the half/half Onion Rings and Fries. Boy-o-Boy. I was very pleasantly surprised. This wasn't Fast Food but a gourmet burger you.might get from a fancy restaurant. First, the burger was top quality beef pressed into action right in front of you. Cooked, it had the right amount of texture, grease and taste. Then the melted American Cheese tasted like REAL CHEESE. On top of the routine lettuce and tomato, I added jalapeño peppers and onions which were both generously chunky, tasty and aromatic. The fries and onion rings were hot and crispy, perfectly complimenting the delicious burger.
I STRONGLY RECOMMEND THIS Z BURGER AND THEY SHOULD EXPECT A REPEAT CUSTOMER.“

“Solid, casual burger spot right on H. Had the Wagyu burger and fries and both were on point. Made to order so everything was fresh and delicious. The Wagyu is a $13 burger but you’re paying for the premium ingredient and the smash burger was cooked perfectly. Hit it up on a week night and it was chill and staff was super nice. Will definitely hit up again when craving a smash burger. This would also definitely work for a delivery order too.“

We were quite satisfied with the customer-friendliness of our waitress, Tiffany. The quality of her service to us was matched by the quality of our meal - top class!

“My son and I visited the Washington DC HRC last week. I just want to say that Angela and Christian reminded me of why I started going to HRC in the first place. They were great and we had a great time. For reasons I don't understand, the service at HRCs has been in decline for the past decade or so. But Angela and Christian were just like the HRC employees I would interact with pre-2012 or so. They made us feel like people instead of a check. And if anyone from HRC corporate actually bothers to read this...you should ask Angela and Christian in Washington DC how HRC should train its employees and interact with its customers. So, to Angela and Christian...thank you again.

I felt so bad for my poor bottom bun that soaked it all in, but the sauce onions and pickles cut through the grease and make it delicious. The fries were crispy and perfectly salty.“

“This is absolutely one of my favorite places to go! The Roost was my go to during the pandemic with tons of outdoor seating. Since it was in my neighborhood we frequented a lot. About the size of my fist a bit bigger it was a large burger and definitely worth the money for the combo $19 to get the fries and drink included.

4/5 seasoned fries: good but not the star of the show it was crispy and seasoned well.

During lunch I wouldn’t go to this location unless you work in the plaza. Parking was hard to find and $15 for 1 hour if you use the plaza parking.“

“GREAT service, nice place. Food was real, real salty, though, and that's a bit of a shame. Had the crab dip appetizer, and they gave us so little bread to dip into it, we all ended up eating the dip as a soup of sorts with our forks so that we didn't waste it, even though it was tremendously SALTY. Like salt was almost the predominant flavor. I had the steak frites, and the supplied knife wasn't quite up to the task of cutting the meat, but it was very tasty along with a very garlicky herb butter. Wife got the chopped steak, and it was a lovely dish, piled high with all sorts of lovely gravy and mushrooms and too much to eat, but very . . . wait for it . . . SALTY. Daughter had the chicken pot pie. Loaded with chicken. Decent meal. Our server was tremendous and polite and one of the highlights of the evening. Kitchen staff may want to taste-test some things before sending them out the door. They might be surprised. We've been on vacation all week and eating out every night, and this was the saltiest meal of the week. We felt like we were still retaining water the next morning.“
