Cotton & Reed Reviews
Amazing drink options. The house distilled whiskey is great. Also, I don’t know how he does it but the bartender Mel managed a packed house seamlessly. Great personality and good face for the business
I’m not really a Rum guy but this bar/distillery is definitely cool. Was bummed that their isn’t a food option but you can order in which is a major plus..But scratch all of that Dericka was my server & let me tell you she’s great! I wasn’t rushed into ordering anything but I also waiting all forever either. We had a great time here last Saturday night before heading to ai. The drinks were sooo good I accidentally drank way more than I meant to 😭 and this is coming from a woman who usually has to gas herself up to finish a drink.

Cotton & Reed is a rum distillery located in NoMa, known for its enjoyable drinks and lively atmosphere. The venue offers a fun and vibrant experience, making it a popular spot for socializing and small group outings. Visitors can tour the distillery, taste the smooth rum, and savor a cocktail included in the tour ticket—the Gold rum is a favorite. The tasting is $25 per person, inclusive of tax and tip. The slushy drinks go down easy, and the spot is great for meeting up after work, with a shaded back area and chill vibes. Early 2000s music adds to the enjoyable ambiance, and the bartenders, like Alvin and Mel, provide a fantastic experience. Some wish they would bring back bottling nights, but it remains a must-visit in DC.
