My Sistafriend and I were in DC for the NMAAHC but we stopped first at the Florida Ave Grill for breakfast. When I say the breakfast and service was exceptional, I'm saying REAL TALK. I had an omelette with hash browns and my Sistafriend had Miss Bertha's special that included french toast. The food was excellent, but the french toast, which I had to taste, was other-worldly. Sat at the counter and had great breakfast prepared by Chef Sam. Sam is bringing back the warm vibes and great food I have eaten for 30 years at the historic iconic institution that is this restaurant. Thank you Sam for the great breakfast food. Your eggs are fluffy your breakfast potatoes with green peppers and onions are incredible. Pancakes are delicious!
the food was great but the staff were amazing.. the two young guys this morning made my day. so pleasant, nice and welcoming. 5 stars from me all around
