I was at the redeveloping station determined to be out of the U.S. for the week of July 4, 2026, so that I could avoid the semi quincentennial spectacle. Amtrak Vacations developed an itinerary that would take me from Union Station to Chicago, then to Seattle, then to Vancouver, Jasper, and Banff.
