Great quick sushi! And loved our friendly cashier.
We stopped at Speedy Snack after visiting the Portrait Gallery because we wanted to grab a quick bite, and we were honestly blown away! We are pretty picky about sushi and weren’t expecting much from a quick, casual spot, but the food was so fresh and delicious and completely exceeded our expectations.

Speedy Snack is a quick, casual spot that offers fresh sushi and the freshest, tastiest poke bowl. The food is fresh and delicious and has exceeded expectations, even for picky sushi lovers. Staff are sweet, welcoming, attentive, very friendly, and happy to answer questions, creating a great atmosphere and wonderful hospitality. The restaurant is clean and prices are very reasonable for DC. Some guests noted the sushi was too salty and the amount of fish was less than 1/2 of what appeared in images, so it is a solid 4 star sushi experience rather than a perfect 5. Families love the spicy tuna ball, and many say they’ll definitely be back. It is a great little find.
