About The Avenue

The Avenue, now known as Skip’s on The Avenue, offers a cozy and welcoming atmosphere, making it a popular spot for friends to gather for informal drinks and meals. The restaurant features a good selection of vegetarian options, with standout dishes such as the grilled mushroom melt sandwich with cheese and pesto. Recently, the restaurant has been under new ownership and has added live music, creating a lively dining experience. The Sautéed chicken has received praise for its excellent flavor, and the live musician blends guitar and keyboard to entertain guests with a mix of popular songs in his own style. The restaurant also has a basement lounge area with bucket chairs and tables, perfect for groups seeking a relaxed environment. Customers have enjoyed having the TVs on to follow games with no sound, especially during events like a company Christmas party. The Avenue is known for its excellent service, with staff being understanding and courteous, especially when resolving issues such as carry-out orders of crabs, which are highly recommended for their quality and seasoning. Overall, Skip’s on The Avenue is a great place for those looking for a friendly, comfortable spot to socialize, enjoy good food, and experience live music, though prices may still be on the higher side for some.

Muy rica comida, sobre todo los mariscos me encantan😜
We are visiting from out of town and most of the restaurants near us were not open on Monday night. We found this online and it was perfect. The parking lot made it easy to pick up the food and it was a hit withy husband and I plus our two kids.
The Avenue is under new ownership and is now “Skip’s on The Avenue.” We had a wonderful late night dinner, and were pleasantly surprised to find there was also live music. The Sautéed chicken was excellent. The musician played a mix of popular songs in his own style blending guitar and keyboard. We plan to go back again soon.
