About The Gibson

The Gibson is a true speakeasy, hidden behind an unmarked door that blends in with the surrounding vacant buildings. Once inside, guests are transported to a pre-prohibition era, with a strict adherence to the theme, including the menu and drink options. The knowledgeable and talented staff are happy to assist with pairing craft cocktails not listed on the menu. The ambiance provides a respite from the hustle and bustle of Georgetown, making it an ideal spot for a night out. Reservations are recommended, and kids are not permitted.

The drinks on the menu were ok. Drinks not on the menu even better! The Fledgling (w/ the straw), Infinitum, Dancing with chaos, Lemon drop. The black normal looking door is the entrance, it is very secretive and nondescript. For anyone who has recently seen 1923 it is very much like the Speakeasy making you wonder if you are in the right place. There is a doorman and once you enter in, it is dark and secretive feeling with the candles and dim lighting. We ended up moving out to...read full review
