Super clean hotel in a great location. The staff was simply put - awesome. The rooms were very nice and modern. We stayed in a Junior Suite overlooking the Anacostia River which was really nice. Rooftop bar was a lot of fun and the staff there was efficient in getting drinks out quickly.
We stayed at The Thompson Hotel for a wedding. The location was great. We could walk to many shops, restaurants, The Nats Stadium and Capitol Hill. We used to live in DC many years ago and were pleasantly surprised at how nicely the area has been developed. The hotel itself was very clean and the staff excellent. Our room felt very new and was spacious. We were on the 9th floor and it was very quiet. We would definitely recommend this hotel to someone visiting DC who needs this...read full review

Very close to Metro stop. Very clean and good size room but no chair in room. Staff all pleasant. Restaurant had excellent breakfast (additional cost) but not open for dinner. However, several restaurants in area. Perfect for baseball games. Would not stay there if only sightseeing and visiting museums. Too far to walk for us - 2+ miles.
