I like this place a LOT. I found it in the Washingtonian Best Bargain restaurants and I'm glad I did.
I had the two hot dogs as well as the chicken wings. Outstanding. I've also heard good things about their pizza and the Garbage Plate. Beautiful decor and friendly service.

My wife is from Rochester. She has standards when it comes to buffalo wings. These exceeded her standards. Crispy, well-sauced. The blue cheese was made from scratch and CHUNKY. Not many places do buffalo wings right in DC. This is one of them. Of course we also got the famed garbage plate. It tasted like it came straight outta Rochester. The food here is as legit as they come. We will be coming back regularly.
Never thought I’d be able to get a garbage plate in DC, let alone a very good one! Might not have been served in a styrofoam container but everything else from the meat hot to the zweigle’s dog to the Mac salad was delicious and true to tradition. :) The wings were also great — crispy and saucy — with chunky, homemade bleu cheese. Can’t think of any Buffalo wings I’ve had better in DC. Really friendly bartender as well! Can’t wait to come back.
