“I haven’t been to DE in a while. Tonight I had a surprise night off so I asked my son if he’d like to have dinner. He recommended a new nice looking restaurant, Roost Kitchen & Pub. I checked out the reviews and was pleased. We had a party of 4 and Ashley was our waitress.

Her recommendations were A1. I ordered the cheesesteak bao bun snack and salmon with broccoli entree. My son and his friends ordered roost burgers with fries. He also got the sweet potato fries with a “marshmellow” dip (delicious). I ended up ordered an additional to go.

I ordered an herbal-sweet mocktail, very good. Clean bathrooms, industrial/city aesthetic black/brick with clean lines, and phenomenal service. We watched a few basketball games and enjoyed ourselves. We’ll definitely be back.

“I came to Metro Diner this morning off the humbug. I was starving & was craving some chicken & waffles from somewhere close in the area. Surprisingly the chicken was very seasoned and crispy. The waffles were also very tasty and soft. The strawberry butter mixed with their signature hot sauce was also pretty good. Alicia was my server. She was such a doll :) Her knowledge of the menu is impeccable and she took very good care of me. I brought my girl's father who is visiting from Greece. we were hoping one of the owners would come over and say hello. George ordered eggs, toast and Canadian bacon which is his favorite. I had a Greek omelette. Both meals were fantastic as well as our friendly server.“

“We decided to go to dinner at Firebirds. I had been once and was not impressed; however my husband had never been there. I have to say the food was good. Cooked exactly the way we wanted. The only draw back we had is the portions of food that you receive for the price that you pay. We felt like we were robbed. We don’t over eat so when I say we had small portions, we really had small portions. The dessert was even small portions for the price that you’re required to pay. The five very thin layers of lemon cake were good but the slice was very thin for $10.25. Out bill was $76.30 for two and I would have no problem if we had an appetizer and alcoholic drinks but there was none of that because we don’t drink. We each had a soda because the lemonade was too tart. The server was very pleasant and on time with everything. We tipped her well as we should have. Not sure I can return there. A little more light would be appreciated if I did return.“

“I would normally recommend Six Paulpers, HOWEVER, last night's service was terrible. Not sure what the problem was. We first waited for quite awhile for a waitress, so we just went to the bar to get our own drinks. The waitress shows up, we order our food, and it took quite awhile to get to us. My husband got the French dip and fries, I got the cheesesteak egg rolls. The FFs were cold, greasy and had no taste. My egg rolls were burnt. I sent the FF's back, and asked to see if the chef would like to look at the FF's! She goes OK, but the chef isn't in, just the sous chef! And that was it! 🤣We had to go to the bar for another drink. We finally saw our waitress again for us to ask for the bill! Hope this was just an off night!😬“

The Brussel Sprouts was excellent and the short ribs were tender and flavorful. The apple cider mule was a perfect drink to top it all off.“

Absolutely amazing experience, she pays so much attention to detail, asks all the right questions and if you're hungry don't worry that food is coming out fast. I have been to Applebee's and service is usually really good today with Ronia service was EXCEPTIONAL!!!!!“

“Truly a wonderful little diner. All the menu items you can expect from a typical diner. There are plenty of vegetarian options but would not recommend for vegan or gluten free customers.
The staff was so nice and friendly. The atmosphere was very welcoming. They have a lot of regulars and it is very cool to see all the interactions between the staff and the customers. Such a great atmosphere.
Food was good. The scrapple was really tasty! Eggs were cooked well and loaded with cheese. Grits were delicious. All of the serving are of heaping size. Coffee is fresh and tasty and unlimited refills.
Prices are unbeatable.
Really enjoyed eating here and would recommend to anyone looking for a good breakfast spot!“

Jeff made the planning phase and menu selection easy, he took the time to make a visit required to the venue, and made sure all of our guests had a great dinner within our budget.
