“I came to Metro Diner this morning off the humbug. I was starving & was craving some chicken & waffles from somewhere close in the area. Surprisingly the chicken was very seasoned and crispy. The waffles were also very tasty and soft. The strawberry butter mixed with their signature hot sauce was also pretty good. Alicia was my server. She was such a doll :) Her knowledge of the menu is impeccable and she took very good care of me. If you are in the Newark area and would like some tasty and quick diner food, go there & ask for Alicia <3 Thanks Alicia will be there again real soon !“

“We decided to go to dinner at Firebirds. I had been once and was not impressed; however my husband had never been there. I have to say the food was good. Cooked exactly the way we wanted. The only draw back we had is the portions of food that you receive for the price that you pay. We felt like we were robbed. We don’t over eat so when I say we had small portions, we really had small portions. The dessert was even small portions for the price that you’re required to pay. The five very thin layers of lemon cake were good but the slice was very thin for $10.25. Out bill was $76.30 for two and I would have no problem if we had an appetizer and alcoholic drinks but there was none of that because we don’t drink. We each had a soda because the lemonade was too tart. The server was very pleasant and on time with everything. We tipped her well as we should have. Not sure I can return there. A little more light would be appreciated if I did return.“

“Roost is the new kid on the block on Market St. in Wilmington but it's growing up fast. We had 5 people on a very busy Saturday night before a show at the Grand Opera House. There were several large tables and the kitchen was definitely stressed. The wait staff amd runners really shown through though and made sure drinks were refilled,etc. The food was excellent ,especially the short rib grilled cheese. Lots to choose from on the draft list and a very inventive cocktail menu are also highlights. Looking forward to going back soon“

“Went to breakfast this morning after learning it was Greek owned a few weeks ago. I brought my girl's father who is visiting from Greece. we were hoping one of the owners would come over and say hello. George ordered eggs, toast and Canadian bacon which is his favorite. I had a Greek omelette. Both meals were fantastic as well as our friendly server.“

Our waitress, Piper was phenomenal, .... friendly, accommodating, and very attentive. The food was perfectly portioned and all tasted great. The soft pretzel was wonderful. The Brussel Sprouts was excellent and the short ribs were tender and flavorful. The apple cider mule was a perfect drink to top it all off.“

“GREAT JOB LIBBY’s Restaurant!!! My wife and I ordered breakfast twice this week through DoorDash and we were BLOWN AWAY by how delicious the food was. The portions were enormous, the prices were great, and the food was just over the top FANTASTIC. We ordered all the way from Newark and the food was still hot and got to us quickly as if we were in Wilmington, and We probably have enough left over that we’ll happily be eating it for lunch as well. Jeff made the planning phase and menu selection easy, he took the time to make a visit required to the venue, and made sure all of our guests had a great dinner within our budget. “I would normally recommend Six Paulpers, HOWEVER, last night's service was terrible. Not sure what the problem was. We first waited for quite awhile for a waitress, so we just went to the bar to get our own drinks. The waitress shows up, we order our food, and it took quite awhile to get to us. My husband got the French dip and fries, I got the cheesesteak egg rolls. The FFs were cold, greasy and had no taste. My egg rolls were burnt. I sent the FF's back, and asked to see if the chef would like to look at the FF's! She goes OK, but the chef isn't in, just the sous chef! And that was it! 🤣We had to go to the bar for another drink. We finally saw our waitress again for us to ask for the bill! Hope this was just an off night!😬“

“Celebrated my wife’s 73rd birthday here today. We’ve been meaning to try it for years. Today was that day and they did not disappoint. The entire visit was a pleasant surprise! And it was absolutely wonderful! Sorry we waited so long before trying it. The icing on the cake tho was our server, Aubrie. She was AMAZING! Her efficiency and warmth was overwhelming! If you come to try it out, be sure to ask for her. You won’t be disappointed. 👍👍👍“

I choose the fish tacos & to share we choose crab tots, pretzel bites, & fried pickles, my friend went with the sausage pizza. Creme brûlée cheesecake & chocolate lava cake were a perfect end to the evening!!! Our drinks were perfect, as well loved the Christmas names! All were great choices!
Biggest reason for my review is because in the service world people are fast to complain but not make the effort to praise!
