We went here last week and I got the shrimp fajitas with flour tortillas, my boyfriend got the shrimp and chicken tortillas, tbh we ordered alot and the manager that night brought us out a crab and cheese dip which was phenomenal! You have to try the homemade made salsas! When I tell you I left so satisfied and happy ! This place will always be in my top 5!“

“Ate here several times and have enjoyed the food. Though since opening....service at tables seems a bit slow here and there. Can't review alcoholic drinks because I don't drink.Recently I ordered pick up. Upon the return time they gave me... It took about a 20 minute wait for someone to come to the front to assist me with my pick up . They gave me a receipt but not my debit card back. Partly my fault to realize this.....but their fault too...this is the 2nd time that happened to me at pick up.. I think maybe a bell would work at the front desk to get someone's attention.i even stood at the bar for 5 minutes but no one came out.for awhile.. all in all I will probably return here be a use thw food I've had has been delicious each time....I recommend the shrimp quesidilas and I love their rice. However I think that their customer service really needs attention. They gave me a menu. I ordered pick up and they said 15 to 20 minutes....once arriving to pick up I waited about 15 to 20 minutes for someone e to come to the front to get the food.“

“I was excited to see what the next generation to occupy the old Stoney's British Pub on Concord Pike would be. Maiz does not disappoint! From the moment you walk in the door you can really see the difference. It is relaxed, current, and yet vibrant atmosphere. Very well done! I started with the street corn appetizer. This is a great choice if you are looking for a small plate to wake up your pallete with a delicious lime crema sauce, and cotilla cheese seared and still juicy in every bite. For the entree I ordered the Salmón a la Veracruzana. This dish is a perfectly prepared pan seared salmon filet with traditional Vera Cruz sauce. It is slightly spicy but pairs with the salmon perfectly. All Entrees are served with a small plate of rice and beans. The Salmon dish also comes with two slices of Garlic Toast. My server, Iran, was tremendous and I would recommend asking for her every time. Over all this was a very pleasant dining experience and I fully recommend anyone looking for good, authentic, Mexican food in the North Wilmington area add Maiz to your itinerary. You wont be disappointed!“

“We randomly stopped at the New Castle Farmers Market on a drive elsewhere and randomly happened upon Los Jarritos and thought it was some of the best authentic Mexican we’ve had on the east coast (don’t you love it when that happens?).

We split a burrito with pork and green sauce and a chicken tamal. The burrito was better than the tamal but we still thoroughly enjoyed both.

The pork in the burrito was exceptional - and the red and green hot sauces were an ideal complement.

Chips and salsa were also delicious - can’t tell if they were included or not but our total bill including a Mexican coke was less than $16.

Stopping at this flea market felt like a portal to another world for us out-of-towners, but we enjoyed the experience and would happily go back to Los Jarritos.“
