“Celebrated my wife’s 73rd birthday here today. We’ve been meaning to try it for years. Today was that day and they did not disappoint. The entire visit was a pleasant surprise! And it was absolutely wonderful! Sorry we waited so long before trying it. The icing on the cake tho was our server, Aubrie. She was AMAZING! Her efficiency and warmth was overwhelming! If you come to try it out, be sure to ask for her. You won’t be disappointed. 👍👍👍“

“This place has got to be 1 of the best jems of Wilmington. I had the cowboy burger with fries for lunch and the black forest cheesecake for dessert and when I say impressed I mean it. Service was great very friendly. Will be back DEFINITELY!“

“Tonight was our first night trying Portabello’s. We had an excellent dinner! My wife had the chicken parmigiana and I had the stroganoff. We shared the chocolate decadence cake for dessert. Had an excellent server named Erica. We will be back.“

“I tried the mozzarella as an appetizer and the Tenderloin for the meal. The mozzarella was very good. Between the peppers and topping that was a great was to start out. The Tenderloin was ok. The Gravy had a very good flavor but the meat itself i didn't think was that good. The mashed potatoes were nicely prepared and the asparagus was hot but still had a snap to them, which is just the way I like it. Add a nice bourbon to it all and it makes for a good meal. Cozy atmosphere to the place. Definitely worth checking out.“

“Administrative details - While you usually must make a reservation a year in advance (which I did), there are a very few earlier spots available on their website. In addition, if you are on the email list, they send the occasional last-minute availability. Talula’s is BYOB. The price was $125 and with all the other things, taxes, gratuities, it came to $160. The Nook Table is available for 6-8 diners and the Farm Table is for larger parties. Website link is below. Everything is presented in “tasting” small portions. In addition to the menu, they provided a couple of additional offerings. I did not do a good job of capturing the delightful descriptions of the food provided by our server. (The next time I go, I will video the descriptions if they allow.) The group did a great job of bringing wine which was beautifully poured in appropriate glassware by our server. The server also paired the wine with the offerings for us! The service was exceptional without being pretentious. After each tasting, plates, utensils and glasses were cleared and refurbished so discreetly that you hardly noticed. The menu changes with the “farm to table” availability. My favorite was a squash tarte. [I was delighted to find that I did not like the foie gras. It is “made” in a most inhumane and horrible way. This is the only time I have eaten it and I will never eat it again.] I was sorry to find that by the Black Garlic Beef Ribeye (#6 on the list), I was getting to the point of “too much food.” The only downsides were “too much food” for most of us and the wines they suggested for the pairings were hard/impossible to find. I personally did not like the varieties of wines they suggested for pairings. The rest of the party enjoyed the comparable wines they were able to find and allowed the server to pair with the tastings. I will be making a reservation for next year very soon. I have already made a reservation for the “sister” Talula’s Garden in Philly for September.“

“I would categorize myself as a somewhat fussy eater because I’m not usually enthused about food. This place is EASILY my favorite place to eat. It’s also the only place I look forward to hearing the specials and trying various things on the menu. I go there minimum once a week. Of all the times I’ve been I’ve only had 2 incidents where I was not happy with the cut of meat. When I brought the issue to the servers attention, they went above and beyond to make things right. I suggest making reservations because they are pretty busy from those that have also fallen in love with this amazing restaurant. The manager and all the employees are well mannered and offer top tier service.“

“Kelly’s Logan House is hands down one of the best spots in Wilmington. The food is great, especially the wings — they’re honestly incredible, some of the best I’ve had anywhere. The rest of the menu is solid too, with plenty of good options beyond typical bar food.

“While spending and afternoon shopping my husband and I decided to stop for a lunch break at Nordstrom Grille. Our crab bisque was phenomenal, the lunch plates were so flavorful and to top it off we shared a lemon ricotta cookie that was absolutely delicious. I would recommend others to stop in and dine. “Picked up ox tail and jerk chicken today. It was ready within a few minutes of me calling it in. Staff were super friendly, food was fantastic and price was very reasonable! I ordered larges and felt that the serving was very generous. Dropped off jerk chicken at my husband's job as a surprise treat for him, he loved it as well. Ox tail was so good I ate the entire large container in one sitting! Highly recommended this place and will most certainly be back!“

“I would normally recommend Six Paulpers, HOWEVER, last night's service was terrible. Not sure what the problem was. We first waited for quite awhile for a waitress, so we just went to the bar to get our own drinks. The waitress shows up, we order our food, and it took quite awhile to get to us. My husband got the French dip and fries, I got the cheesesteak egg rolls. The FFs were cold, greasy and had no taste. My egg rolls were burnt. I sent the FF's back, and asked to see if the chef would like to look at the FF's! She goes OK, but the chef isn't in, just the sous chef! And that was it! 🤣We had to go to the bar for another drink. We finally saw our waitress again for us to ask for the bill! Hope this was just an off night!😬“

John Daily 6/10- would have preferred real ice tea vs what appears to be iced tea mix. Bartender/waitress offered to switch out for free. Wings- sweet chili 10:10 On Point. Maybe a few wet naps Draft beer selection- great. Hammerhead 10/10 Nachos- 7/10 wish more pico but overall great with chicken and guacamole Ham/Cheese with cranberry- 4/10 too much ham, too little cheese.. no cranberry. Told out after the fact. Staff needed roller blades- Waitress was bartender… she did a great job! 8/10. We’ll be back“

Jeff made the planning phase and menu selection easy, he took the time to make a visit required to the venue, and made sure all of our guests had a great dinner within our budget. “I work closeby to this restaurant and had been wanting to give them a try. I never had African food before and I was curious so after work was over on Thursday I stopped in to try a lamb shank with yellow rice. It was so good! The lamb fell off the bone smoothly and the yellow rice was flavorful. I was afraid the dish was going to be spicy but they put the spice in a small container on the side. Service was friendly and fast. The price came out $20, which was not bad at all. Next time I will try either the dibi or the peanut sauce dish. 10 out of 10 Kenedougou Grill, thank you for introducing me to African food. I recommended this restaurant to my family and anyone who is curious about African food. Give it a try, you won't regret it.“

“On 12/20/25 I spontaneously stopped in with a friend to have dinner, it was a busy time, 6:30ish I have to say it seem to be only 2 servers but they were managing seating their own tables smiling and seem to enjoy what they do, my server happily introduced herself “hi I’m Jazz, I will be your server tonight” I asked for her favorites and she gave plenty of options, I love that cause it’s so hard for me to decide! I choose the fish tacos & to share we choose crab tots, pretzel bites, & fried pickles, my friend went with the sausage pizza. Creme brûlée cheesecake & chocolate lava cake were a perfect end to the evening!!! Our drinks were perfect, as well loved the Christmas names! All were great choices!
Biggest reason for my review is because in the service world people are fast to complain but not make the effort to praise!
