“I came to Metro Diner this morning off the humbug. I was starving & was craving some chicken & waffles from somewhere close in the area. Surprisingly the chicken was very seasoned and crispy. The waffles were also very tasty and soft. The strawberry butter mixed with their signature hot sauce was also pretty good. Alicia was my server. She was such a doll :) Her knowledge of the menu is impeccable and she took very good care of me. If you are in the Newark area and would like some tasty and quick diner food, go there & ask for Alicia <3 Thanks Alicia will be there again real soon !”

“Hands down the best NFC ever! I’m obsessed with their Hot Spicy wings, always fresh, crazy crispy on the outside and super juicy inside. Seasoning is literally perfect.
I tried a different NFC branch once and it was an absolute fail. Total dry, salty and tasted weird. I threw the whole box away!
Had to come back to this Penn Mart Shopping Center location yesterday to fix my craving and they hit the spot as usual! Plus, the staff is always chill and even threw in a free dinner roll. 10/10 highly recommend!”

Mom to be absolutely loved her cake! The cannoli filing was perfect and not only was the cake beautifully decorated but it was absolutely delicious as well! Highly recommend doing delivery as it was one less thing we had to worry about and everything ran smoothly.”

“I discovered this hidden gem a few years ago and have been in love with their lamb gyro since. I recently needed food catered for my graduation party and immediately knew it has to be from here.

The food was amazing. We had chicken and lamb gyros for my party. Everyone loved it.

But what stands out the most is the owner. He has ALWAYS been a wonderful human to interact with. He is kind, caring, generous and all around amazing person. The food is out of this world but knowing my money is supporting his business is even better.

I had a lunch meeting scheduled for 12:00 p.m. for 15 people, but due to an internet issue at my location, I was unable to place my order online. “Had a great meal at ugly dumpling, greeted with great service right away! Service was personable and accommodating to my stroller and a high chair for toddler. The establishment is extremely clean and beautifully designed. Waitress was helpful in assisting with menu, family style small plates, 3-4 plates for a couple suggested. We loved the dumplings with spicy sauce on side and sesame noodles. So fun to see everyone working on hundreds of beautiful, delicate, and delicious dumplings! 🥟 thank you ugly dumpling team!”

“I’m not usually hanging out in the area, but I needed to get my car windshield replaced yesterday and had to run a long zoom meeting afterwards. So I needed somewhere to camp out afterwards since I wouldn’t make it back home to wilmington in time. I stumbled upon this place in my “coffee shops” map search. Everyone working was very kind, and the drink + bagel i had were both so good that I felt compelled to actually write this FB review. I have been mourning the loss of my favorite wilmington boba spot (it sounds dramatic but I am serious, the others just aren’t the same) so am so glad to have found a good one, even if it’s a little bit of a hike.”

Update: I moved residence and haven't been to this location in about a year.
First the cashier, while in the middle of taking my order, starts a conversation with her fellow employee . Upon regaining her attention, I told her I have a coupon , she proceeded to ring me up and flops the touch screen over so I can tip(lol) and provide my signature . I notice that my coupon was not reflected on the price so I said what happened with the coupon?? Her exact answer was: oh you tapped your card too fast and I couldn't do it.... I said fugetaboutit and sat down. Now , as I wait for 25 minutes and counting I am contemplating a refund and surely will never come here again. It USED TO BE, walk in walk out no more than a 10 minute wait on a busy day. Playa Bowls needs to hire better!!!!”
