We got the red beans and rice, gumbo and tomato soup and we need to try the rest of the menu! My husband and I just got back from New Orleans and my husband was sad because he loved the food so I googled and found this place! The gumbo was literally better than we had down there 😍 SO GOOD. And everyone working when I picked up (one was the owners daughter) were so passionate about how they make everything from scratch and kept giving me samples of everything and telling me their story. It’s a WONDERFUL locally owned place that should be protected at all costs. Cannot recommend enough!”

When I brought it up to the bartender, she said I misread the situation and it was none of my business! So, I went to the manager and she repeated pretty much the same statement like it was scripted because it continuously happens! I wonder if the owners are aware of these actions because honestly the bartender and manager should be fired for those kind of attitudes as it's illegal to serve visibly impaired patrons at a bar! Sad! 🤔😔 I actually have to add, it's a shame that the staff isn't the best, because the concept is great, the events are fun and our group which usually numbers 10 to 15 people enjoy hanging out there for the events and the food which is reasonable and pretty good! 💝😎👍”

“I ate at the Merchant Bar tonight with my parents and my 2 young daughters. We came in during the Ladybug Festival to get some dinner and my kids quickly started to get cranky (to put it nicely). Our waitress, clearly an angel on earth, brought over bowls of grape tomatoes that she had sliced in half and cucumbers while we ordered and waited for our food. I was getting overwhelmed and she saved the night by doing that. The food and drinks were also phenomenal. Thank you for the great service and I can’t wait to go back!”

AYCE isn't limited to sushi and there's a bunch of dishes you can try as well. For us, service was great. We went on a slow day for lunch and the entire experience was fantastic. I see there's some negative reviews about service, but that wasn't the case for us.

This was hands-down the highlight of the night. Layers of fresh tuna, creamy avocado, and three types of tobiko. It's a visual masterpiece and a flavor bomb in every bite.
Godzilla Roll, Norwegian Salmon Sashimi, & Yellowtail Jalapeño
Fresh, vibrant, spicy, and expertly prepared. The yellowtail had just the right kick of heat from the jalapeño, and the Godzilla Roll is simply addictive. The wild-caught salmon from Norway exceeded expectations.

Yes, it's a tuna avocado roll shaped like hearts. Perfect for sharing especially if you're here for a date night.
Hibachi Combo (Maine Lobster Tail, Shrimp, and Scallops): 5/5
Huge Maine lobster tail. The seafood was cooked to perfection. Worth the price!

Update: We've gone back a few times and it's still fantastic. Basically addicted to the Godzilla Roll. We also started picking up sushi for takeout and it's THE BEST around. We get the lunch specials and they're much bigger portions than what you get some of the other local sushi places for the same price. Plus you get soup or salad too.”

We love the wonton soup and fried rice as well, and everything we've tried from the non-sushi menu has always been a cut above. Everything tastes prepared fresh that day; the vegetables are crisp; it's never overloaded with salty, gooey sauce. So many places just cover up mushy vegetables and old rice with sugar-heavy sauce because it's what we Americans expect, but this restaurant seems to actually care about putting out quality. It is also served with roti and papadam. We enjoyed this because we were able to try several different items. We are a family that enjoys Indian food quite often. The flavors were so good and fresh. The spice level was good for us. We like spicy but it wasn’t the type of spicy that killed your taste buds. You still wanted to go back for another bite. My son had fountain soda and I enjoyed their mango lassi. The prices are reasonable. The service was also good, we felt taken care of. We will be going back for dinner soon to try some of our Indian cuisine favorites. I really hope the community supports them!”

“Walking into this Trolley Square gem feels like a warm embrace! From the moment we stepped inside, the welcoming presence of Jacquline, our host, guided us to a comfortable table tucked away in the back. Her genuine friendliness set the perfect tone. Shortly after, the delightful Katie became our server, her pleasant demeanor immediately putting us at ease and smoothly starting our culinary journey. The menu boasted a tempting array of options, and we eagerly chose the kale Caesar, cornbread, and brisket mac and cheese to begin. Oh my goodness – each starter was an absolute revelation! For our main courses, my wife savored the delicate lamb gnocchi, while I thoroughly enjoyed the perfectly cooked salmon. Neither dish disappointed; they were both executed flawlessly. A thoughtful touch was Katie finding me a delicious non-alcoholic beer, a real treat since I don't drink. To conclude our exceptional meal, we shared a lemon pound cake that was simply divine. Without a doubt, I wholeheartedly recommend a visit to this wonderful spot in Trolley Square. Everything, from the ambiance to the exquisite food and the extraordinary service, was truly on point.”

“This might be one of the best chicken places in this area! Their chicken is always fresh, flavorful, and delicious! The chicken and waffle combo is to die for. My only complaint is the wait time for your food. It does take a good minute, but it’s worth it. I’d definitely order ONLINE and wait an additional 15-25 minutes to what your pickup time is to show up for your order.”

“Had a wonderful Dunch at Snuff Mill today. Fabulous food, ambiance, and service! Shout out to Dorrie. I was able to get in at 3:30 but starting to fill up as I was leaving around 5pm on a Tuesday!... Definitely make a reservation for dinner! Some outdoor seating with heaters but also saw lap blankets.”
