“This was a gem of a stop on our journey home to Maine. We stopped in for coffees, salads, and sandwiches for our train ride. The owner and Milo were quick and efficient at making our order. I highly recommend Mazzela’s Italian Restaurant for all special occasion food needs and for any time that you are in the mood for the best homemade tasting Italian foods! Everyone at restaurant was friendly and very helpful, which made ordering and pick up convenient and easy. The menu selection was great and all of the food was delicious and was done to perfection! We got the red beans and rice, gumbo and tomato soup and we need to try the rest of the menu! My husband and I just got back from New Orleans and my husband was sad because he loved the food so I googled and found this place! The gumbo was literally better than we had down there 😍 SO GOOD. And everyone working when I picked up (one was the owners daughter) were so passionate about how they make everything from scratch and kept giving me samples of everything and telling me their story. It’s a WONDERFUL locally owned place that should be protected at all costs. Cannot recommend enough!”

“The bartenders there serve people that are obviously visibly drunk and falling off their stools! When I brought it up to the bartender, she said I misread the situation and it was none of my business! So, I went to the manager and she repeated pretty much the same statement like it was scripted because it continuously happens! I wonder if the owners are aware of these actions because honestly the bartender and manager should be fired for those kind of attitudes as it's illegal to serve visibly impaired patrons at a bar! Sad! 🤔😔 I actually have to add, it's a shame that the staff isn't the best, because the concept is great, the events are fun and our group which usually numbers 10 to 15 people enjoy hanging out there for the events and the food which is reasonable and pretty good! 💝😎👍”

The Gravy had a very good flavor but the meat itself i didn't think was that good. The mashed potatoes were nicely prepared and the asparagus was hot but still had a snap to them, which is just the way I like it. Add a nice bourbon to it all and it makes for a good meal. Cozy atmosphere to the place. Definitely worth checking out.”

“I ate at the Merchant Bar tonight with my parents and my 2 young daughters. We came in during the Ladybug Festival to get some dinner and my kids quickly started to get cranky (to put it nicely). Our waitress, clearly an angel on earth, brought over bowls of grape tomatoes that she had sliced in half and cucumbers while we ordered and waited for our food. I was getting overwhelmed and she saved the night by doing that. The food and drinks were also phenomenal. Thank you for the great service and I can’t wait to go back!”

“I just had an absolutely wonderful meal at a tiny Thai restaurant across from the VA Hospital at 1700 Kirkwood Highway, called Wings and Thai Station. They are open from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm Tuesday through Friday, and from 12:00 to 9:00 on Saturday and Sunday. They are closed on Monday. They have a small eat in capacity (I would guess 40 seats) but they do take reservations. Mostly they are takeout or catering. For a party of over 70 people they will send their food truck and cook anything on the menu for your guests. They are very inexpensive. I had 8 large crunchy shrimp over a delicious small salad with the most amazing sauce, ($22.) and I brought 3 shrimp home. We had a wonderful appetizer that they made for us, that was 2 rolled cylinders and 2 little dumplings with a sauce that was amazing. Maybe you would enjoy this little jewel.”

“We had a wonderful Valentine's Day mid-afternoon meal, with marvelous service by both Rochelle and Nicole, and others too! This is our first visit to this Mission BBQ location, but, like all our other Mission visits up in Pennsylvania, everyone was smiling and cheerful, and it was just a wonderful experience.
And after inquiring what we were doing for our Valentine's Day, we ended up giving a lesson on geocaching! I've never seen so many smiling people in one restaurant as in ever single Mission BBQ!
And on top of everything, our meal was nearly free. We had coupons from January, and ended up with two wonderful black plate specials, baked potatoes with brisket and pulled pork, and two blueberry cobblers (one was Valentine's surprise!). Since we rarely eat our whole meal, we now have half of everything to have for dinner tomorrow!

So many places just cover up mushy vegetables and old rice with sugar-heavy sauce because it's what we Americans expect, but this restaurant seems to actually care about putting out quality. It is also served with roti and papadam. We enjoyed this because we were able to try several different items. We are a family that enjoys Indian food quite often. The flavors were so good and fresh. The spice level was good for us. We like spicy but it wasn’t the type of spicy that killed your taste buds. You still wanted to go back for another bite. My son had fountain soda and I enjoyed their mango lassi. The prices are reasonable. The service was also good, we felt taken care of. We will be going back for dinner soon to try some of our Indian cuisine favorites. I really hope the community supports them!”

I had the Cabernet and he had the Pino Noir .Both wines were rich and savory. Very tasty. The floor manager even came up to make sure we were happy. We had Erin taking care of us at the bar... she was cool and made our visit even more fun.
