To start I had the carne asada tacos 🌮🌮🌮 best I've ever had hands down top notch! everything was cooked perfectly the meat was super tender and well seasoned fresh toppings the limes were juicy 🤤 EVERYTHING was on point! From the moment I walked in, the owner made me feel incredibly welcome – a truly pleasant start to my morning. The menu is an exciting array of coffee and tea options, promising something for every palate. But let's talk about the homemade pastries... absolutely divine! I highly recommend the spinach and cheese pastry; it was truly to die for – flaky, flavorful, and utterly satisfying. It's not every day you stumble upon a place like Hashtag Cafe. “Best meal in a few years along with great atmosphere! We started with corn ribs, sweet potatoes, sautéed mushrooms and hummus for appetizers. Drinks were great, old fashioned, midnight, Cassandra and the Normans! Then we had steak kabobs, steamed octopus, the burger, shrimp and lemon potatoes. Deserts were manna split, soft serve with sea salt and olive oil, custard pie, sticky croissant with pistachio. Everything was absolutely perfect, and spectacular! If you come to Sarasota be sure you go the Florence and the Spice Boys! At UTC mall area.”

“Old money roll was the bomb! Spicy tuna ,avocado apple inside ,top with scallop ,seared with Japanese mayo ,black caviar gold flakes! Yummy 😋! I also ordered cherry blossom roll that was good too. “For 100% vegans, this fine dining experience is worth the extra cost. The food is delicious and diverse. However, tonight I tried a dish I wouldn't order again: the filet for $49. While the texture was appealing, the flavor was lacking and became unexciting after a few bites—I truly wanted to love it! Unfortunately, they only had butter as a sauce option. The accompanying mashed potatoes were enjoyable, and I appreciated my mocktail, a fig espresso martini.”

Mind you, our expectations are high because we've become accustomed to over the top Indian flavors and varieties. Since here we've tried 3 places. One was terrible the other 2 were ok. Today, we found our new go to spot for Indian on Fruitville and Honoree called Royal Peacock. Food fresh, great taste and aroma, impeccable service, not over the top pricing and a clean pleasant atmosphere. We had Palak Panere mild and chicken Vindaloo spicy, both white and saffron rice, along with butter nane. Don't waste your time at the others this is the real stuff. JK”

Feel like they take the quality of their food very seriously! You can tell. We ate at the Bee Ridge/Tuttle location.”

“I It’s so unexpected to eat at a restaurant that truly blows you away but tonight we experienced just that. We ate at Djonisi’s Restaurant and let me tell you, it was one of the best meals we’ve ever had. The server gave us his name - Djonisi of course, it’s his family restaurant! And his mother was cooking tonight - we suspected we were in for a treat. Everything, and I mean everything, we had was delicious and cooked with love. The grilled octopus, may be the best we’ve ever had. PeiThe eggplant, feta red pepper, and taramosalata dips, and dolmades, the lamb chops were incredible. And the grill for two! They brought a mini chaffer to the table to keep it warm, perfect. Baklava and custard pie for dessert. We took home almost half the food the portions were so big. The lemon potatos and the tomato rice served with each meal - just proves they know exactly what they are doing. Amazing Greek food, such a nice Greek family, super clean and priced well. We will be back. Once we make some room in our bellies from this feast! And I’m Greek… I’ve been eating this food my whole life so you can trust me, I’m a professional 😂”

Food was tremendous, from appetizer to entree. Desert was a surprise, with just the final touch of sweet. Only negstive was the condition of the restroom.”

“We had dinner at Siegfried's Restaurant on Feb. 26th - our third meal there and we always leave with big smiles on our faces. The schnitzel and sauerbraten are both excellent, as are the sides and desserts. The staff is warm and engaging and we were so happy to meet and speak with the chef/owner. The restaurant is in one of the cozy-looking cottages on Fruitville Rd and is the perfect setting for this authentic German restaurant. Be sure you make a reservation and be prepared to enjoy a fantastic German meal!”

“Wow! What an impressive evening at every level. Do not hesitate and book this restaurant for your next food adventure. The moment you walk into this establishment, you know the vibe is cool and these people know their food & spirits. The food is incredible and different than the typical Sarasota restaurant that has the same boring food offerings. I was impressed with the Iberico pork dish and unusually amazingly flavored vegetables and spices that accented the smoky, tender pork. The yuca side dish was similar to a potato but more flavorful and crispier mixed with an addition of corn, pickled cabbage and other vegetables. I haven't found a dish that impressed me more in recent years. The crispy salmon was a "oh wow" moment for my friend, who hails from the Pacific Northwest as do I, where Washingtonians know a thing or two about salmon. This restaurant provides your palate something different and if you're a veteran of dining out constantly, this is a welcomed change from the ordinary. The New York steak included an amazing demi glaze exploding with flavor and had the perfect consistency which can be a challenge to make right but State Street Eatinghouse + Cocktails got it right. I highly recommend the fried Brussell sprouts appetizer as they were a flavor explosion in our mouths. The bacon amplified the sprouts with the accompaniment of the balsamic glaze. My friend's husband and mine, who usually don't like this vegetable, were pleasantly surprised and ate more than the obligatory "try one" bite. State Street Eating House + Cocktails is owned by the same people that introduced us to tapas restaurant "Beso", which I recently tried, and awarded it my "Best Restaurant in Sarasota" award. This restaurant belongs in the "Restaurant Hall of Fame" of Sarasota or even US restaurants. I love it! My waiter, Dana, was super attentive and impressive. His vast knowledge of the drink and food menu was spot-on and his candor and expertise added to the whole evening's experience. What an amazing restaurant! I can't wait to book my next reservation and I'm kicking myself for not trying it sooner. Cheers! Dietary restrictions: I appreciate they were mindful of my cow's milk allergy which makes eating out difficult since most dishes have butter and/or cheese. “Keltsey, Elena, Bri are absolutely amazing, Elena had such a warming and sweet welcome at the host stand, Keltsey was holding down the bar perfectly and was making conversation with all of the guests and ensuring they were having a good time, and Bri was very attentive and was so helpful with the beer wall and the questions we had about the menu. All three girls showed amazing hospitality to us today! They were fabulous!”
