“Mother-daughter lunch. I was here many years ago, but this was the first time back since pre-COVID. I was pleasantly surprised. We went on a Saturday and arrived before noon, and we were the only ones there for about thirty minutes. Excellent service quiet restaurant and wonderful food. Their lunch specials are really inexpensive compared to other restaurants, and the food is really great! The next time I want Japanese food close to my house in North East Cape Coral , that's where i'm going!“

“Just discovered this place a few months ago and now order thru DoorDash almost every other weekend when I visit! Food is great and they’ve never gotten an order wrong, even when I get multiple meals. Staff is always very friendly and the inside seems much cleaner than most similar-style restaurants. Definitely the best Chinese in the Fort Myers/Cape Coral area! My go-to is General Tso’s. Very reasonably priced!“

“Been eating here for over 20 years. The food is excellent, their sauces the best. Their Mongolian pork is one of my fav's also the Pepper chicken. Sweet and sour chicken is also good. Their fried rice is also a treat. Wish they would utilize water chestnuts and bean spouts in more dishes. But overall this is an excellent place to get all you can eat at a decent price along with good service.“

“I have been missing GREAT sushi since moving to Cape Coral from Atlanta 4 years ago. Thank you OUMI for opening!! I've been 5 times now and each time has been exceptional. Make sure to say hi to the chef/co-owner Gordon. Not only is he nice and interesting with an immense knowledge of sushi, but he has surprised us a few times with something special off the menu that he'd brought in that day for the next day's specials...again, everything the freshest and best sushi I've had in SWFL. It is kind of hidden away in the Sprouts shopping center on the corner of College and Winkler, but are very worth finding.“

“This is by far and it's not even close, the BEST Hibachi restaurant in America and let's not stop there, the World. Fort Myers born and raised, but now live in NJ where Hibachi is awful. I've come to learn that the salad dressing and sauces are so uniquely Osaka. My only complaint is that ownership hasn't realized the sauce empire gold mine they're sitting on and that there are people like me who would buy the salad dressing, orange seafood sauce, and garlic sauce in bulk - the rest of the sauces are good but these are exceptional and as a traditionalist I don't mess with Yum Yum. Please right this wrong and give the people who can't go except for 1 to 2 times a year what they need!“

“Very good food, large portion sizes, the staff are friendly, polite, and joke-y with/towards their customer, altogether making for a welcoming experience. Even with a slight language barrier, you can tell that these people care.

The only downside that I have is the size of the restaurant itself, but for some folks that can be an upside as well.

Highly recommend their Krab Rangoons especially!“

“We have been coming here for years. Sometimes we are gone for long periods of time , but they never disappoint us. We had been gone a year, and today was exceptional. Got there right after they opened at 11 and everything was ready , hot , beautifully presented and delicious. Crab salad and pepper shrimp were my favorites. Could only try about half the sushi, but it was extremely fresh. Come here every time we are in town.“

“We had an exceptional dining experience at Shima Japanese Restaurant, featuring the Miyazaki Anraku Wagyu Yakiniku. The chefs and restaurant host, who flew in specially from Japan, took the time to introduce the exquisite cuts of Wagyu, adding a personal and authentic and fun touch. The 16-course set was masterfully paced — every dish arrived in perfect timing, building anticipation and delight with each surprise. The presentation was visually stunning, and the flavors were refined yet comforting. Portions were all size so very bite of the Wagyu was tender, rich, and satisfying yet not too much. The wagyu roll and the sandwich cutlet, were my favourites. Grilling the beef ourselves at the table with friends — a fun and interactive. Even small details, like the beautifully curated tableware and fragrant, freshly steamed rice served in a special pot, reflected attention to detail. Service was warm and attentive throughout. The restaurant maintained excellent ventilation, so we left without any lingering grill aroma, and the complimentary parking was a thoughtful convenience. We left the restaurant with a smiles and a happy tummies. Outstanding meal in both flavour and presentation. Good place to hosts family and friends.“

We had Chef Laysel and he was terrific. (Note: All the chefs are great). Nicole helped to make it even better, as she always does. Overall, there is simply no better place to eat on Sanibel.“

“I was in between appointments and needed a quick bite but wanted a decent meal. This worked out perfect! I had a steak hibachi bowl. Delicious, the steak was cooked perfect and very tender. And they gave me a whole bottle of yum yum sauce like a bottle of ketchup! Will definitely come back.“
