“Checked this spot out a few months back, and quickly started coming out 3 or 4 nights a week, spending upwards of 6-8 hours working on my laptop, chatting with people, getting drinks, playing pool, etc.

Brit and Ryan have been my kava tenders the majority of my visits, and have been excellent in every interaction. This location is welcoming, lively, and always a great time.

I've quickly made a number of friends amongst the staff and regulars and have found them all to be an absolute pleasure.

There are a variety of events, from pool tournaments to Burlesque shows to Dungeons & Dragons sessions, all of which have been a great time and wonderful example of what community should be.

It is also kept remarkably clean and has plenty of seating as well as open areas to stand and chat.

Overall, I cannot recommend this location enough.“

“Had a decent time at Fields Ultimate Lounge on the first level of the Amway Center. Appreciated the available seating spaces, although prices were predictably steep. Tried the chicken nachos, but they were overly salty. Thumbs up for clean restrooms with plenty of stalls. Some room for improvement: more snack options would be nice, and I missed having frozen drinks on the menu. Overall, not bad, but there's room to enhance the experience.“

“The Other Bar is a downtown Orlando staple located on Wall Street, surrounded by a cluster of other bars. The name isn’t just clever—it’s called The Other Bar because it’s the only bar on that stretch owned by a different owner, which already gives it a bit of its own identity.

This place is very much a local favorite, and for good reason. I’m a fan of the complimentary popcorn (simple pleasures matter), and while the bathrooms might look a little scary at first glance, they’re generally clean—which honestly puts them ahead of many dive bars downtown that barely qualify as functional.

The space itself is bigger than it initially appears, almost deceiving when you first walk in. Over the years, the interior has seen steady upgrades, and it shows. The stage is well lit, and every Monday I frequent their open mic—an event that’s been running for decades and continues to be a cornerstone of the local comedy scene.

There’s also an outdoor patio and bar area, which adds a nice option when the weather cooperates. One moment that really stood out to me was Thanksgiving, when they hosted a Friendsgiving and fed all the comedians who regularly perform there. It was genuinely generous and speaks volumes about how much this place values its community.

All around, The Other Bar feels familiar in the best way—a reliable, welcoming spot that supports local talent and keeps evolving without losing its soul. It’s a place I return to often and one I’m glad still exists downtown.“

“A fantastic dining experience here. I’ve been twice now and both time was more than satisfied. The options are plentiful and the food is always incredible. Drinks are great as well, and the service is friendly. Both times we’ve sat outside so I cannot speak to the atmosphere indoors but outside is a nice spacious patio with the occasional car but nothing too loud“

Mikey has perfected the art of looking mildly annoyed while somehow making everyone feel like they’ve just been welcomed into the club. He’s good-looking, perpetually cranky, and possesses the kind of razor-sharp wit that keeps the entire bar entertained. His humor is dry, his sarcasm is Olympic-level, and somehow, by the end of the night, you realize you’ve been completely charmed.

He pours exceptional drinks without all the unnecessary flair, tells it like it is, and never pretends to be anything other than himself. His blunt honesty is oddly refreshing, and once you get to know him, it’s impossible not to appreciate the genuinely lovable person behind the gruff exterior.

As an added bonus, the man is basically a walking movie encyclopedia. Mention almost any film, and he’ll have a quote, behind-the-scenes fact, or obscure reference ready to go. Half the fun of sitting at his bar is seeing where the conversation ends up.

Mikey may claim he doesn’t like people, but judging by the crowd that keeps coming back just to sit at his bar, people certainly like him. If you find yourself at The Dust, do yourself a favor—order a drink, enjoy the banter, don’t take the sarcasm personally, and tip the cranky movie guru well. He’s the kind of bartender that keeps a neighborhood bar worth coming back to.“

I felt that the DJ was playing music just for me because I swear he was: a) reading my mind or b) had my playlist…LOL. I mean literally song after song, he was definitely on point. I didn’t have any drinks so I can’t speak on that, but I literally had the time of my life dancing!! I came home talking about it all night to my husband about how much fun I had dancing. “I can't believe how great of a time I had at Hen House Bar in Downtown Orlando, the Heart of Downtown on Wall St. I popped my head in and was instantly greeted by Joey the bartender, made a phenomenal drink for me out of the top of his head and I LOVED IT!! “Great local spot perfect for starting your night out! They offer relatively affordable drinks, and the bartenders are pretty cool. There's a pool table that you don't have to pay for, darts, and lots of comfortable places to sit. Outside is a chill vibe as well, with several seats and tables out front - I've been there 3 times, and it's never been super crowded. Parking can be a challenge at times, but there are lots nearby to park at. I recommend starting out here if you're bar hopping and then walking to the mills (about a 5 minute walk, and you'll pass several bars along the way)“

“Nice rooftop bar upstairs that plays dubstep and tech house EDM. Roomy and plenty of space to dance. Downstairs there are hip-hop, Latin, and throwback pop. But the rooms downstairs were too crowded and got lots of unsolicited attention from bargoers, one person grabbed my wrist and would not let go as I was trying to pass through the tight crowd.“

My daughter insisted on going there for her birthday dinner because she loves the Filet Al Gorgonzola, which is divine. You can cut it with a fork, and melts in your mouth like butter 🤤. It’s going to coast you a little more than Outback or Olive Garden, but prices are reasonable considering the food & service quality they deliver, and they also have an excellent wine selection 🍷“
