Bett's Big T Restaurant in Chiefland offers authentic southern cooking with a cozy old truck stop vibe. Customers praise the rib-eye steak and the Tuesday Chicken and Dumplings special with tasty sides like collard greens and cobbler. The fried chicken with three sides is also highly recommended, reminding many of home-cooked meals. The seafood buffet on Friday night features shrimp, cod, crab cake, catfish, and mullet, all served fresh and cooked to order, with the option to add all-you-can-eat crab legs for an extra cost. The restaurant maintains a clean and spacious atmosphere, with friendly staff providing excellent service. It is a popular spot for travelers and locals alike, especially for those seeking generous side dishes and vegetarian options. While some visitors suggest improving signage due to the blacked-out windows, most enjoy the delicious food and welcoming environment. The restaurant's history as a truck stop and Greyhound station adds to its charm, making it a great place for a satisfying meal while passing through North Florida.
