“Ok, so I see some negative comments on here about Mannys. I have been going to the one on 27 for a little over 10 years. Usually at least twice a month. I have NOT had the experience these people have and wonder if their expectations were beyond attainable and no matter how good things were they would still have a complaint. My girlfriend and I love this place. I have never had a badly cooked steak and the prime rib my girlfriend gets is what she wants. I would not under any circumstances continue to patron a restaurant if it were not good. Having lived in west Texas for almost two decades, I know a good steak. If your expectations are that high, maybe stay home and cook one yourself. You are your own worst critic.“

“This Burger King at 100 State Rd 60, Lake Wales, FL 33853 truly stood out from the rest! From the moment we stepped in, it was clear the team here takes pride in their work. The manager was an absolute expediting machine—double-checking every order with sharp focus and a commitment to quality assurance that’s rare to see in fast food.

At one point, I overheard her tell a team member, “You know this is not the correct bun for this sandwich, and our customers are very intelligent—they might bring it back. If they do, it’s on you.” Without missing a beat, she turned and said, “Let’s redo this sandwich and ensure we’re following standards.”

That right there says it all.

Our sandwiches were made with precision—well-assembled, fresh, and exactly as ordered. The restaurant itself was spotless, including both the men’s and women’s restrooms. You could feel the difference in how the staff worked together.

“Meagan Carter is the main draw for us to be regular patrons of this iHop. Extraordinary service above and beyond expectations, and she makes friends with all her customers. Once, I saw a customer complain about their food, but management still demanded full payment. I saw Meagan quietly pay their bill while apologizing for the food. The customer never knew she bought their meal!

Of course the food is excellent - great breakfast and the best hamburgers in town! Prices are reasonable.

The facility is looking very worn - well maintained, clean, but worn. It needs a remodel, seriously. Meagan keeps us coming back!“

“Our family was at the Lake Wales IHOP on 8/6 and I have to say our server Brianna was fantastic even in the midst of a severely unfortunate staffing situation. There were about 25 people dining in as well as several to go orders meanwhile Brianna was hosting, serving, bussing, and handling “to go” by herself with 1 cook. I felt bad for the situation she had been put in due to scheduling/staffing as she could not possibly do EVERYTHING herself. Through it all Brianna was attentive, kind, accurate, and I could clearly tell that she had a system down pat. Great job to her!“

“Tried the meal deal. Got my usual double cheeseburger along with the new spicy chicken, fries and a drink all for one low price. I have to give the spicy chicken 2 thumbs up. Size, juicy and flavored just right. Medium spicy which I found refreshing in the world of fast food hot chicken sandwiches.“

“This restaurant is great. It is clean inside and outside. The service is excellent. The employees were very courteous and professional. I ordered an Impossible Whopper and a root beer soda to go. I have to make a point of saying that sandwich was made with love. When I unwrapped it my first thought was this sandwich looks like it should be on TV. I don't know if you have ever ordered a sandwich and when you received it, it looked like the sandwich was put together by throwing the contents from across the room. Wherever the items landed on the sandwich, so be it. Not so with my Impossible Whopper. It was structured so well, and stayed that way to the last bite. I was highly impressed. “I finally tried this restaurant for the first time. And, let me tell you, it will NOT BE MY LAST!!! The food was INCREDIBLE!!! The burger was juicy, hot and made exactly how I ordered it....delicious!!! And, it was huge. Well worth the money. Don't get me started on the fries. I'm a huge potato fan and fries are up there at the top as far as personal preference. Boy oh boy were those fries off the chain AWESOME!!! I could have made a meal out of just the burger or just the fries. But, I ate both of them together and BAM...a new favorite place to eat. My only regret....I didn't try it sooner and I can't afford to eat it at least once a week, which I would could I afford to. So yummy. Bottom line folks....GO GET YOU SOME!!!! I can't wait till my next visit!!“

“I lived in Lake Wales for over twenty years and I love Al’s Place the friendliest bar in town, remind me of the old tv show “Cheers “ when everyone knows your name. The beer is cold, the food delicious and they give you plenty. On your first trip there you will get initiated with the yardstick and become a member of the family group. My son and daughter got me back in Pennsylvania as I age to see that I have proper care, but promise me every so often the would bring me back to Lake Wales to visit all my old friend. Looking forward to February at when they celebrate the the holiday Mardi Gras and have a great time with all my old friends…..It’s a pleasure…Thank You.“
