“Try something different for lunch today in Downtown Fort Lauderdale area, try Blue Tree Cafe Vegan Soul Food by Nika King. This little cafe serves up all the soul, as Nika’s mom, Chef Sharon cooks up all of your soul food favorites, for a very reasonable price, plus special for this month, they have a home made burger for 954 Burger Month. The Black Bean Soul Burger is made with black beans, brown rice, toasted walnuts and a variety of spices and herbs. It’s served on a vegan brioche bun smered with a chipotle compound butter and house dressing, served here with hand cut sweet potato fries. The menu also has a lot of great options too, the crab balls are my favorite! Hours are limited as they are only open Tuesday - Thursday, 11-6 and are cashless business. They are located at 612 NW 9th Ave Ste A in Ft.Lauderdale, close to downtown, but they have do have a private free parking lot. Highly suggest checking them out this week, and trying the burger before the end of the month.“

“I visited from out of town and wanted some good down home food! I was impressed! I ordered the catfish and grits, Cajun shrimp and grits. Absolutely delicious! 10/10+ Oh and the mango juice was tasty as well! Staff were wonderful! I’ll definitely be back!“

The lady that served me was so pleasant...I should have asked her name so I can give her a shout out but next time I will. Yummy food..? I got a oxtail and fry chicken meal and trust me it's the best oxtail I've had since I left home. Big up to the chef.“

“From the moment we walked in, the experience at this restaurant was amazing. The owner, Mily, greeted us with a big smile and made us feel so welcome. She was incredibly hospitable—she even offered my mom a small taste of the legume before ordering, just to make sure she liked it. That level of care and kindness really stood out. Mily also walked us through the ordering process, explaining each dish and helping us feel comfortable with our choices.

I ordered the legume white rice sauce pwa plate and the tassot with diri jon jon, and let me tell you—it was phenomenal. The flavors were amazing , and everything was cooked to perfection. The restaurant’s playlist set the perfect mood, good music and playing at just the right volume not loud. Plus, the restaurant
was spotless—tables floors, were clean.

You can tell Mily truly cares about her customers and takes pride in every dish she serves. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, the service was personal, and the food was absolutely delicious. We’ll definitely be coming back! If you’re in the area please come check her out!“

“We order from Fabulous at least once a week via DoorDash where I work. My favorite dish is the meatloaf with white rice, mac and cheese and yams. Always a great cooked meal. Once the meatloaf was a small portion but every other time the portions are very good. The teas fruit punch and lemonades are really good too.“

“Honestly I was skeptical about his place being a ‘ghost kitchen’ but the food was fresh and delicious.. I feel if you order earlier in the day the Mac and cheese would be creamier but I ordered the fried catfish it’s crispy and well seasoned and the yams were on point and the collards was just right. Honestly would order from them again but might opt out for the Mac and cheese for something else because I like my Mac like creamy and cheese but other than that I can’t complain for ordering from a ‘ghost kitchen’ and the sweet potato pie was a chefs kiss would definitely recommend trying this place I was sketched out from the address and map view but I door dashed and everything was great“

“Came to The Licking Sunrise from West Palm
for Sunday Dinner. The food was fresh. The chicken and shrimp were seasoned to perfection. The wait time wasn’t long. The manager was very friendly and polite. She made sure everyone was taken care of and that the orders were placed accordingly. I will come back to this one. Music was just a tad bit loud but eventually got turned down some.“
