It’s hard to find a restaurant in the area that offers both good views and amazing food, and Kasumi checks both boxes. The amount of thought and detail that went into each plate, cocktail and interior design element truly shows. I came for Happy Hour (offered Tuesday-Friday, 5-7pm) and was blown away by the full-sized dishes and large variety of options to choose from. We came super hungry and tried almost everything on the menu because it looked so good, which worked out since everything was very shareable. Don’t miss the cocktails as well, which are also discounted; the Cherry Blossom Old Fashioned and Nashi Mule were expertly crafted, all made with fresh house made syrups and with unique twists. Although not part of Happy Hour, we treated ourselves to most delicious chocolate mousse and ganache dessert that I’m still drooling over. I will be definitely be back.“

I love the Poke bowl here, it exceeded all my expectations for a Poke bowl spot! The fish was incredibly fresh, which is always a big deal for me when it comes to raw ingredients. The vegetables were crisp and clearly high quality, making the whole bowl vibrant and flavorful.

“Found this hidden gem. Strictly does take out. They have one of the best roll combo deals around six rolls for $43 or 10 rolls for 69. Portions are very large food is very good have not had a bad order yet. Allow about 30 minutes for your order to be made fresh.“

“This was my second visit to this place. I enjoy the taste of the rolls and edamame. However, the calamari was rubbery this time, and they brought the wrong rolls instead of the ones I ordered. I’m not lowering the rating because the bartender/waiter offered to fix the order, but I declined since there were only 15 minutes left before closing. I understand the staff might have been tired. I also received a complimentary beer, which was a nice gesture — the customer service is good.

As for the atmosphere, I give it two stars. I understand it’s meant to be an authentic spot and it looks great in photos, but in person it feels quite cluttered. The posters are faded and could use an update, and the place would benefit from being a bit cleaner.“

Their chicken and shrimp are NEVER EVER dry; the teriyaki sauce is sweet and savory; they use GOOD jasmine rice that heats up well the next day for leftovers (not cheap hard rice);
And their crab rangoons are LOADED with cream cheese (they don’t skimp out on filling); they give you a CONTAINER of yummy duck sauce with it; with extra packets in the side.

They also give you a PUNCH CARD, so after 6 orders, you get one full sized chicken teriyaki with vegetables and rice for FREE.

I love their consistency with their food quality. It’s what makes me drive out of the way to get their food.

“So our family (well kids to be specific) has always had a tradition of going out to Hibachi for birthdays. For years we were going to Saitos on Lyons and Glades then they closed down. Honestly was never my favorite, but tradition is tradition. So we moved on to Benihana’s. Well don’t be fooled by the name. Their food and particularly their service was waaay below PAR. Anyways getting to the point, we wanted to try a new spot and stumbled on Saiko-I. From the first few minutes after being seated we could already tell the dramatic difference. The service was on point. Drinks served immediately, appetizers and meals ordered shortly after. Then came the chef. He was fun, entertaining, funny and efficient. The food was probably the best hibachi I’ve had. None of the one item at a time nonsense you get at the other places. And they used much less of the butter and other garbage they throw in at other spots. At the end of our meal we complemented the GM and she went out of her way to make our business feel appreciated. The staff here was friendly, classy and fun, and the food was amazing. Found our new spot! No this is not a solicited review, I was just super impressed with this place. “The was a wonderful experience for lunch. I wanted to take my daughter for this amazing experience but not do a full dinner portion. There was A LOT of food and we were stuffed by the time we left. It was all very fresh and delicious. We tried new nigiri that were amazing. We were delighted to have the opportunity to taste these new flavors with beautiful craftsmanship and freshness. Probably the only things I could see to improve was that we were put in the corner even though there was only one other couple there. Thus, my view was behind the bar and not that "pretty". It was clean, but I would prefer to be seated at the regular bar area to have a nice experience looking at the chef prepare and not "behind the scenes". Also, the corner was right next to the water feature, and I could hardly hear the chef explain anything. That took away from the overall. The last thing was the artistry of the food. Maybe it was because we went for lunch? But other Omakase experiences, the chef turned the sushi into art with various toppings and other ways to excite the eyes as well as the palette. Here at Taki, the sushi was done perfectly, but it was just the rice, fish and sauce, not much else. However, one could say that there is nothing else needed with a delicious piece of nigiri... I'm only comparing it to another Omakase that I personally preferred. Overall, it was a perfect lunch place for this type of experience.“

For the entree I had the Chinese lo mein with shrimp and it was served fresh and hot. The food here is super filling! This is a fast food place so not many dine in. We were the only ones here but we did see several people walk in and get takeout to go. Prices were decent for the area. “Had my first experience last night for dinner, with my father (89 years young who is now eating with me in many sushi restaurants). Dad thoroughly enjoyed the egg drop soup and chicken teriyaki with vegetable fried rice! I had a fab roll (name: Rene Roll) with tuna tartare! The restaurant is conveniently located at Powerline and Palmetto near LA fitness. Such a beautiful and very clean environment with music and the Manager, Albert, was very welcoming and accommodating to our dietary needs. We will definitely be going back, and I am happily sharing this review to encourage others to check it out. (I.e. the Rene Roll 😇). Thank You Albert!!“
