“Very quiet family-oriented place to eat. My Dad and I just ate here, and they had dishes we could enjoy since we are on a no-meat eating plan right now. Very quick service, and friendly staff. We ordered red beans, rice, and sweet plantains plus 100% Grape Juice.Vegetarian options: red beans, rice, and sweet plantains plus 100% Grape Juice.Dietary restrictions: No-meat eating plan, so we had the red beans, rice, and sweet plantains plus 100% Grape Juice.“
“This is one of my favorite places in the world. The lady makes you feel like family and is an amazing cook. Can't wait to go back and see her and eat her food. Everything is good. I like her carne guisada and my wife loves her oatmeal and breakfast. She cooks to order and when you're there you feel like everyone in that little restaurant is family.“
“This place is great. My first date with my wife was at a Salvadoran restaurant for pupusas, but this is our new spot for pupusas. I'm a chef and come from a mixed background of Filipino, American and African-American cultures. So, I love exploring new cuisines and so does my wife. We have had food here numerous times and all of the food we have tried is great.“
“I’ve been wanting to try this cafe for a while now, so I stopped in today and got a breakfast sandwhich with eggs, bacon, and cheese. It was delicious, and the size was much larger than I was expecting. The bacon was perfectly crispy and the egg tasted really fresh. I will definitely be coming “
“What a wonderful little gem in historic downtown Deland! It's rare that literally everything sampled was great. We had a wonderful experience. As soon as you step into the establishment, it has a cozy Latin vibe. There are huge painted portraits of beautiful Latina's (J-Lo, Selma, Penelope, & Shakira). The food, drinks, and service were outstanding!Shoutout to Yelp for my free Aspirinas for checking in! They came in 4 pieces which consisted cornmeal patties topped with beans, tomato, onion, cheese, and sour cream. My mother ordered the Latin Bowl (ropa vieja, black beans, rice, side salad, and yucca fries. Delicious! My lady ordered the Ceviche Peruano, which is a traditional Peruvian dish, *raw fish fillet with lime juice, served with shredded carrots, red onion, cilantro. Marinated in an aji sauce, with garlic, and leche de tigre (citrus-based marinade). Served with plantain chips. It was super sour and tangy and so good! I ordered the Taquiza Gringa, which was grilled marinated steak on a bed of sautéed onions, bell peppers, and pineapple with melted cheese. Served with corn tortillas, and guacamole on the side. OMG it was amazing! We also ordered a white and a red sangria. Those drinks packed a serious punch (pun intended). The white tasted much stronger but both were excellent. This is easily my favorite restaurant in Deland as of yet and we will be going back!!“

“When you go there, understand that it's a food truck that has a table outside that you can sit and eat at if you want. You can order ahead, or you can order when you get there and sit at the table and eat if you like. The food, was incredible. The portion of Mofongo that I received was enough for two meals, and I should have eaten it in two meals, but it was so good that I ate it all at once. This stop, for dinner, was a welcome and refreshing break from the normal Western cuisine that I typically eat.“
