“What a wonderful clean and friendly place to come when I’m in town! I asked the cashier can I try a sample of the rice and beans and the djion djion rice and the owner brought it out from the back and both of them were absolutely delicious! She even let me know that I can do half-and-half if I would like. I definitely recommend this place for all your Haitian food needs! I would definitely give them a 10 stars if I could!!“

“had the chance to try Ross Bahamian Conch Shack at a recent health fair, and they definitely delivered on flavor. Here's what stood out:
Wings & Fries:
The wings had a solid Southern-style base with a Caribbean flavor twist — well-seasoned, juicy, and crispy without being greasy. The fries were golden and crisp, a perfect side that held up well even outside a traditional restaurant setting.
Conch Salad:
I also tried the conch salad, and it was fresh and tasty with a good mix of citrus and texture. The only thing it needed was a bit more spice or heat to really bring it to life — a dash of pepper or hot sauce would’ve taken it to the next level.“

“A plus if you speak and understand espanol as that is the primary form of communication here. Stopped in the evening for a game of pool, they have 2 tables. Not a large place, but large enough for a small to 20ish person gathering, seemed like they just had beer, but at good prices $4 for a modelo and the service was fantastic. They treat you like family. Not a super large parking lot, so if you come at a busier time I think you might have to find on street parking.“

“I’ve been a loyal Hammond’s customer for many years. Even while living out of state, I regularly had a dozen Callaloo patties shipped to me. Recently, I made the drive from West Palm Beach, where I now live, to pick up my usual order in person.

On the way home, I couldn’t resist enjoying one of the patties—and it was just as delicious as I remembered. But to my surprise, the next one I bit into was filled with ground stew chicken. As it happened, the entire batch had been mislabeled.

I contacted the bakery, and I was truly impressed by how quickly and professionally the management team handled the situation. Not only did they identify and correct the issue right away, but they went above and beyond by personally delivering a fresh batch of patties directly to my home. And let me just say—they were the best I’ve ever had from Hammond’s: perfectly flaky and full of flavor.

To make up for the mix-up, they included six additional patties in the delivery—three of which were ackee and saltfish, and just as delicious. This kind of transparency, responsiveness, and generosity defines outstanding customer service. Hammond’s is setting the standard, and I couldn’t be more appreciative.“

I had the Mixed Veggies, which is a kind of stew made with meat bones. My husband had the fried chicken. Both come with plantains and rice. “The food here is very good and the servers are so kind. The only thing that I really didn't like is that they don't really check up on you until you are completed with your meal. The area is so beautiful but I think it is in a strange spot because it is in the lobby of the Marriott. The Hurricane Drink that I had was not mixed well and it had WAY too much alcohol in it and not a good mix of everything else. My husband had the burger and he said it honestly isn't anything to write home about and I ended up with the alfredo which really wasn't that bad at all. Would I recommend this place? Maybe if you were in a hurry and didn't want to leave the hotel. Otherwise it honestly is just average.“
