“To be honest, I thought it was a bit pedestrian for a finer restaurant. Food was good, but not innovative. Reminded me a bit of country club food from the 80's. Good, but not interesting. Service was good, all in all, it was good. But I wasn't inspired to go back. And that's never a good thing for a restaurant. Just my honest thoughts.“
“Largo's little gem! Visited Cafe Largo in 1992 and remembered how quaint it was & had amazing food. Had my 2nd visit tonight under the new ownership and happy the food is still devine! The owners are incredibly nice and genuine. Highly recommend!“
“EXCEPTIONAL!!! WOW…. Massimo’s Exceeded our Expectations!!! We were greeted by the beautiful smile of our server Jennifer, who welcomed us in & shared with us the very interesting history of Massimo’s. She shared with us the night’s specials & showed us patience as we asked an array of questions. I have severe food allergies so I spoke with Jennifer about my concerns and the next thing I knew Massimo himself,( the owner & the chef) came to our table to discuss the many options I had where he could accommodate my allergies. All of us at the table were sooo very impressed that during a busy evening Massimo took the time to speak with me personally to discuss creating a meal for me. Dinner was served with a gorgeous presentation & Absolutely DELICIOUS!!!! Chef Massimo made me the Halibut Special with a flavorful garlic sauce, side of sauted vegetables as well as a delightful pasta with red sauce. All four of usdevoured our incredible meals with sheer delight. Jennifer did not miss a beat and kept a close eye on us, keeping our wine & water glasses filled, checking to see how we were doing and if we needed anything at all. She was so very kind & friendly and she & Massimo made the night extra special.I highly recommend Massimo’s as it is a true Class Act Restaurant where your dining experience is Top Notch!!!Thank you Massimo & Jennifer for your superb hospitality & for the perfect dining experience. See you both again real soon:)“
“A Restaurant by Any other (French) Name…“Chez David” is in the space where “Flying with Jerome” used to be. Most everything is the same as under the old owner. Unfortunately, they need to work on service. The staff is confused and scattered seemingly without direction. We experienced a mixed-up order and so did our neighboring table. As for the food, it’s pretty good. My Egg, Bacon and Cheese Croissant was good. The accompanying fruit cup was all melon and a bit of pineapple—the cheapest fruits. We also had a Chicken Ciabatta Sandwich which was also good, but nothing special. The lattes were good.My biggest disappointment was the almond croissant. I had hoped that David would do better than Jerome, but it looks like he’s using the same recipe. The result is an overly soggy croissant. The chocolate croissant looked better, and I’ll get that if we return.“
“It's not Paris, it's Indian Rocks Beach. It's not the Boulevard Saint-Germain, it's Gulf Bulevard. But it's the closest you can get to both without a plane ticket. Nice bakery items, tasty café fare, and friendly service.Parking: Parking can be scarce. Your best strategy is to be lucky. Very lucky.“
“A quaint little French bistro.Pleasant attentive waitress and food made the right way. The veal chop with black truffle butter was cooked perfectly and the flavor was outstanding. Maybe the best veal chop I've ever had.The ratatouille which is grandma's recipe is an explosion of flavor in the mouth. I could have eaten a bowl of that with a loaf of bread.I'll be back!“
“The food was ok. We ordered French onion soup and it came to our table black. The cheese was obviously burnt and for such a high end restaurant to deliver it to our table in that condition was outrageous. My salmon was a little over cooked. We also had the escargot and duck confit which was fine. The waiter was very friendly and apologetic for what had happened. As a result he bought us one dessert.“
“The service is very good and the food is exceptional. This place is a bit small in comparison to other restaurants you can choose from. However, if you have to wait it's well worth it. I have dine here on a few occasions but luckily, I never had to wait to long. The food is prepared with a lot of experience behind it, you can tell by the quality and flavor. This is a unique and special little place and is not your ordinary Mom and Pop Restaurant.“
