“Yummy French food, but unfortunately, the fact that the owner chooses to overcharge customers at 8.5% taxes instead of Hillsborough county's rate of 7.5% is upsetting. I have been to this restaurant a few times now and each time their food is fresh and consistently good. They have a few small tables outside right off of N. Tampa street and I love being seated there when it is nice out. Parking is anywhere you can find it (I'd use Park Mobile app instead of parking @ 717 Parking lots - they rip clients off by charging a flat $13-$30 fee per vehicle). Some of my favorite items on Chez Faby's menu are: Lobster Bisque, Avocado Toast with Salmon + Egg and Homemade Breakfast Potatoes. My husband really enjoyed his French Onion soup. Tiramisu, however, was a bit of a let down. Not sure if it was supposed to be frozen, but it was and that made it disappointing. Overall 4 stars only because the food is really tasty. If I were the owner, I would comply with Hillsborough County's tax rate. Even if your customers don't notice and complain, a business is still required to either refund over collected sales tax or turn that amount into the state. In fact, charging sales tax without a sales tax license from a state or charging too much sales tax and pocketing the excess can even lead to criminal charges.“
“I can definitely recommend this restaurant. It's a small restaurant in South Tampa that serves primarily Vietnamese food but other American foods as well. I had the curried chicken with blackened rice, spring rolls and chicken lettuce wraps. Everything was super delicious. The atmosphere and waitstaff were delightful. I can find absolutely nothing wrong with this restaurant and we're so glad to find that is only a mile from my home in South Tampa.“
“Great French restaurant in the heart of downtown Tampa and walking distance from many hotels along the Riverwalk. High ceilings, classic modern lighting and great ambience. Flavors were rich and heavy but nothing atypical from traditional French cuisine. They are famous for their Coq Au Vin and Lobster Pot Pie.“
“The food is delicious!! Some of the best crepes I've ever had! The waiter was super nice and the food came quickly. Their restaurant is very cute, and I would come here again!Kid-friendliness: The atmosphere was very kid friendly! The waiter was very nice.“
“The best vegan and vegetarian dishes I’ve ever had. Hands down the best place to take a loved one, whether it be a birthday, an anniversary, or just to celebrate. Plan on spending at least $100 per person.Vegetarian options: Vegetarian options are available. You have to ask, it doesn’t have them listed on the menu. There is one vegan dish, it is called food karma, it is what I had and I was delicious and smooth.Parking: Get there as early as a possible. There is a small parking lot that offers free parking. If not in the parking lot, you will have to park in the road.Wheelchair accessibility: Yes, it is wheelchair accessible“
