“My favorite local restaurant. I'm at my home in Edgewater at least one week per month. I never fail to get in to Albertos for a meal once every time. Early bird specials from 5:00 to 6:00. Food is excellent and so is the service. You will not leave hungry.Highly recommend!Parking: There's additional parking out back.“

“Filippos is the best! My husband and I recently moved to Edgewater and needed a new takeout spot. A friend of ours recommended we try Filippos and I'm so glad we did! I would highly recommend the Greek salad, manicotti, and the pizza of course. Bonus points: I was in a rush last time I came in for takeout and accidentally forgot my debit card on the counter. The staff kept it safe for me until I was able to come back and pick it up!“

“We drove by the restaurant, and loved the quaint house immediately. Ironically, we ran into Leon and his family the following day and knew we had to try the restaurant. We went for our anniversary dinner and could not have picked a better restaurant. The ambiance was perfect with an outstanding wait staff and incredibly fresh Italian food. Our server was knowledgeable about the offerings and helped us select just the right meal for the evening. The pasta was spectacular, the meat superb and the experience even better! We can’t wait to return in the fall to try another dish. Price is reasonable for the exquisite dishes, service and atmosphere.“

“VALENTINA, the owner's daughter was a wonderful waitress. The food and Ambiance were excellent. My husband had his favorite meal Bracciole and I had rotini Bolognese. I had a Lambrusco and a Chianti. It was dark and romantic and we are going back for our anniversary soon.“

“Hubby and I had our second visit to Don Giovanni’s in Ormond Beach on 10/18/2023, and it was better than our first visit (if that is possible) Now we are hooked. I had chicken franchise and hubby had chicken Marsala. Both were wonderful. Chicken was so tender and both sauces were outstanding. I can’t say enough how good the bread is, just so fresh and delicious, salad is large and cold. Now, let’s talk cheesecake! We had the strawberry cheesecake….well, nothing like we ever had. “We ordered the Meatza Pizza. We were starved having just moved to the area. We were pleasantly surprised at how generous the toppings were on the pizza. We also ordered a salmon spread (a neighbor recommended it to us)...it was "meh" at best...it was dry salmon with a ton of capers on it it...the chips it was served with were good though. Would have given it 4 stars because of the salmon dip, but the pizza was so great, I had to give them a 5 star!“

“The atmosphere is kind of electric & eclectic . different musicians performing in each room , watching the chefs cook steaks in the wood fired brick ovens . the food was delicious. The service was great professional waiters that are on point definitely will be back and hopefully soon.“

“I am the traveler. Now my father owned an Italian restaurant for 60 yrs. I grew up eating home made pasta almost every Sunday. I even owned my own Italian restaurant for 16 yrs. I can not say how happy I was to have stopped and gave it a try. First greeted with a smile. Faith was awesome and beautiful. Sat right away. The soup of the day just added a little parm cheese and pepper. Amazing so delicious. Spaghetti and meatballs is what I ordered, because that’s a true test of an Italian restaurant. Plate came out, and I always check the amount of water sitting at the bottom of the dish. If pasta not drained properly lots of water. And that waters down the sauce. Pleasantly surprised very little water. Added my parm cheese, salt , & pepper. Once again pleasantly surprised. Red tomato sauce lightly seasoned and tasted almost like home. And I did enjoy that is was a thin spaghetti. Now the meatballs were so good tender moist and yet firm. Properly season and went fantastic with the sauce. Thank you for a delicious meal. Highly recommend.P.S tiramisu is nice light finish to my meal.“

“Go up occasionally for the Thursday wine tasting and have discovered some really nice ones. The owner and staff are personable and accommodating. When these tasting started very few people, but is becoming quite popular with more wine lovers.“

“First time here. I must say it was the best Italian food I've had. I had the Lobster Raveoli and hubby had the lasagna. They were both amazing. I watched them make my Alfredo sauce fresh. I will say I hope this place stays around for next yr bike week. Also talked to the cooks and they were awesome, did an amazing job. waitress was amazing too. I highly recommend. Will be trying the pizza next. it looked amazing too.“

“Based on their ad in the local dining magazine, we expected a little more upscale restaurant. We found out the food was outstanding, the service from Amanda was excellent. The meal came with warm bread and a salad, which to don't find anymore. The negative was it was really loud, and for some reason they had an amplified one man band in the dining room instead of the bar which made it even louder. The food and service was so good at a reasonable price we will be back, but not when they have music in the dining room. I like live music,but it was in the wrong room at the wrong time.“

The bathroom was spotless.The wait staff is attentive and friendly without feeling cloying or pushy. They never made us feel like they were trying to clear a table for the next guests.If that weren't enough, the food is incredible. The crepe lasagna is now one of the top three meals I've ever had at a restaurant in my life. It was tender and flavorful without being soupy or turning into mush, as so many lasagnas do. I will point out that our food took a while, however in this case that's not a downside.This restaurant is the kind of place you go for a proper multi course dinner, not an eatery that tries to serve as many people as possible, as quickly as possible. It never felt as though we were waiting our food, it felt as if they were waiting for us to be ready for the next course.It is overall, friendly, welcoming, and serves absolutely outstanding food.On the five-star Google scale, this place is a 10 out of 10. “Sitting on the rooftop overlooking Flagler Avenue in New Smyrna, Florida is great.We had a party of 30 with children. They got ALL of our food out to us in great time, and it was hot. The atmosphere is humble- vinyl table cloths and booths but there is big band music playing quietly for ambience. Beer and California Wine only for adult beverages-which was fine for us. We ordered a carafe of the house Chianti at server Heather's rec- it did not disappoint. I ordered Sicilian grouper and it was delicious- portion size just right- with salad and home made knot rolls-- Hubs had the shells and they were delicious also. We had our fill so I don't know about the dessert menu- we payed it forward with our unfinished carafe and gifted it to a nearby table of adults who were already served wine. We will return.
