“Unfortunately our visit this time (we come about once per month) was subpar. The good stuff - food was excellent and our server was good. Bad stuff - we had a reservation but were made to wait 20 minutes. Your front staff seemed flustered. I have to assume the folks at the table that was promised to us stayed longer than they should have? Maybe you put folks there earlier with no reservation? That’s unclear. But what is clear is that the ability to make a reservation so we don’t have to wait keeps us coming to Sonapa. So it was a let down. I think better management of reserved tables is needed and if you seat someone without reservations at a table that is reserved for 5:45, let the party know they need to vacate by then.“

“We’ve been a Big fan of Big Joes for over 10 years. Often the 1st place I choose when arriving in Florida; however, this last visit was just not the same. The little lady who was formerly the “waitress” was lovely, polite and efficient. I always left her seperate tips. This new woman is RUDE…and when I said so, she came to our table and loudly challenged me for “cussing her out”. I said you were RUDE and she was! Perhaps were she to do her job properly and State the NUMBER (as they’re given out when orders are placed), there would have been No problem). She Failed to do that, then felt a need to lecture US about it. There were 2 seperate numbers and parties @ our table..,we ALL witnessed her inappropriate behavior.
I am very sorry to say Big Joes may have just lost 3 excellent customers.
I will say TY to the guy who takes the orders for coming over and for himself delivering our food as I requested She not touch it.

“My spouse and I tried here for the first time after seeing some reviews from local Facebook groups. We were immediately welcomed by staff as soon as we walked in and chose a table. The environment was clean, not too noisy, and full of culture. We were immediately brought menus and their signature corn as a snack and our waitress came right away to take our drink order. We placed our order, the waitress being friendly and helping us with any questions. We didn’t wait too long for our meals. When they arrived they were gorgeously plated and smelled amazing. The flavors were incredible and every bite was something new. We were greeted a few times by various staff checking in on us. Our drinks were never empty. We had enough leftovers for another meal. I already cannot wait to go back. 10/10 recommend!“

“Yesterday, we had the best lunch at Cafe Verde. Having recently switched to a vegetarian diet, we were looking for a place that offered delicious food within our dietary restrictions. Let me just say, we are ashamed we hadn’t come here sooner. We dined outside under a shaded gazebo and even enjoyed a brief rainstorm. Our server was very nice and attentive. We ordered our drinks and food, and were astonished at how large the portions were. I opted for the Mediterranean Salad, and my husband ordered the Tofu 'Poke' Salad with a side of rice to make it a bowl. Let me tell you, we were both thrilled with the presentation, and the food was incredibly fresh and delicious! There were lots of beautiful plants surrounding the property which I absolutely loved! We will definitely return for another meal. We highly recommend this place for a date, or a casual lunch or dinner.“

“I am so glad I stumbled upon this place walking around Flagler Ave… maybe the best Thai food I’ve ever had! I walked in asking for something vegetarian with tofu and was recommended the green curry. All of the ingredients were very fresh and the flavor of the dish was spectacular, I’m still talking about it days later. The tofu was the best tofu I’ve ever tasted with the perfect texture. I also want to mention that the woman who took my order was very kind and welcoming. The only downside is that I’m not local so I can’t make this my new go to Thai spot. I’m hoping to be able to place another order before I leave town…this was the best meal I’ve had since visiting.“

“I love going on Fridays because every Friday they tomato bisque soup and I love to dip my Lauren's lemon basil chicken salad on a croissant into the soup. I love the grape salad too and you can get it without the nuts on top if you choose. If they do not have tomato soup that day, I love classic carol or Olivias old south and I usually mix one of those with the buffalo chicken salad! It tastes like a milder cold buffalo chick dip, and I eat it with crackers. I love that the meals come with a pickle and a little cookie as a treat! My mom loves all the fruit and nut chicken salads like cranberry Kelli, fancy Nancy, and fruity Fran. I love when delicious diva comes back. That is one of the seasonal chicken salads. We love to eat outside in their patio seating area or take the quick chicks to go and eat at the pool! We also love the strawberry lemonade mixed with some sprite! So, refreshing!“

“Since I live in Ponce Inlet, I've been to Down the Hatch many times and have always found their seafood to be so fresh all the time. This time I had my sons visiting me from St. Louis, they wanted to eat at the best restaurant for seafood, and of course, we went right here and it didn't disappoint. They especially loved the shecrab soup with the sherry on the side. It was scrumptious. Their dinners were wonderful, as well as the desserts. Needless to say, we went home with plenty of leftovers. Steve, the server was great. All in all, it was a perfect night. So whether you live nearby or on vacation, make it a point to dine there.“
