Pop in for fresh (served chilled) stone crabs. The gruff guy at the counter will crack them for you. Get the sauce and (as you can't eat on site) head to Smallwood a few miles south to picnic at the location of the original stone crab operation!
Some people have restaurants or other stops that they will always visit each time they are in that town on vacation or passing through, well Grimm's is definitely of my always stop if I am in Everglades City. Granted Everglades City is not a town to pass through or visit on an overnight vacation for us since it doesn't have much to offer other than the best places for Stone Crab. I give them Five ⭐️’s!! We purchased large stone crabs, shrimp, stone crap soup and the conch chowder. The crab soup and conch chowder are from Marathon FL Key Fisheries and is the best I’ve ever tasted! The stone crabs and shrimp were straight off the boat fresh and delicious. Don’t pass up this place for good fresh seafood!!
