My friends and I visited Fort Lauderdale for spring break and were pleasantly surprised with this restaurant. The tacos my friends and I ordered were easily the best tacos we have ever had. The owner even gave us a free slice of their red velvet cake (which was delicious). Velvet Taco is not just a restaurant, it's a culinary oasis where every bite is a fiesta for the senses.
Stopped here for lunch during my day trip down in Ft Lauderdale. I've been to the original location in Dallas multiple times and also been to the one in Austin once, and this new location was honestly on par if not possibly even better than those. We really enjoyed sampling their tacos! I want to come back and try more. The Angus beef taco as well as the shrimp taco I tried were my favorite! The chicken and waffle was okay but not as solid as I was hoping for. Super fun idea through. Reminded me of Bruxie from Southern California.Vegetarian options: They have a section of tacos that are Vegetarian but likely many could be made vegetarian as well.
