“Such a lovely safe haven for those at sea and vacationers looking for a place to rest before a cruise! There are tons of activities for kids like air hockey, foosball, and more while you wait for the food. We had the grilled chicken special (off menu) and gyro plate. “On June 16, we went to Kaluz Restaurant in Fort Lauderdale to celebrate my mother’s 85th birthday. We are regulars at Kaluz to the point where we have the cell phone numbers of several employees. In a nutshell, Anthony, the manager, should not hold that position in a restaurant like Kaluz. My husband and Anthony exchanged words and Anthony’s solution to the issue was telling us, “You should not come back here. The owners do not want parties larger than five people.” My jaw dropped. I could not believe that a manager’s solution to an issue about seating us sooner, while we waited for two other people in our party, especially since my 85-year-old mother could not stand for long, was to tell us, on two separate occasions, that we should not come back. Anthony also put the entire blame on the owners of the restaurant. We go to Kaluz almost on a weekly basis, tip extremely well and have taken countless people there that have also ended up being regulars at Kaluz. No restaurant manager should EVER tell a customer, regular or not, to not come back regardless of the issue. Needless to say, we will not be going back to Kaluz as long as Anthony continues working“

“Being South Philly natives visiting Lauderdale, Pizza, Sandwiches, etc aren’t an easy sell for us in South Florida ! Primanti Bros was an awesome boardwalk style pizza. We tried the plain cheese & we all enjoyed it. We also did breakfast here one day and it was very good as well! A nice diner style breakfast!“

“Local gem tucked away in small shopping plaza located on Commercial near Lauderdale By The Sea. The food and ambiance were top notch. You walk in and your immediately transported to a speakeasy inspired venue space with some of THE BEST PIZZA I’ve had the pleasure of indulging in. Better than NY pizza hands down and I’m from NYC. The edges of the crust were crispy to perfection with a beautiful focaccia like interior. Make sure you order the “Ba Wit Da Za” hands down my favorite! The bartenders and servers are just as cool as the place is. Fun, edgy, full of energy and super knowledgeable on their menu. The Chef there really knows what he’s doing. A stellar experience, cannot wait to try another pizza! Every time I go I plan to try a different one, they had so many to choose from!“

“This restaurant is exceptional! we went with our family after our civil ceremony and their service was beyond expectations. they made every effort to accommodate us as we found them very last minute and the weather turned rainy and windy suddenly. we wanted to sit outside, and they reserved the table without hesitation and then afterwards accommodated us inside when the rain started. They were so attentive, courteous, and made sure we were all taken care of. they had live music with an excellent singer who was talented and played with our kids and sang with them. the hostess Sally, was kind and sweet and very attentive!. Michael was a great server as well. ! all of them were great! the food was superb! great tasting with many options and excellent quality. thank you so much for making our night special. “Gorgeous beach views, great service, and good food. Angelito, Ashley, and Juwan have taken great care of me and my party while we’ve been at this hotel. We originally planned to head out for breakfast each morning, but Rivas has such great service and quality breakfast and coffee that we ended up eating “in” at the hotel each morning.

The staff are kind, and very “everything is possible” in mindset. We appreciate their work, and we appreciate their speed of service. We would not be frequenting Rivas if they weren’t there providing VIP service.

Hot tip - ask for mimosas “to go” ahead of a pool walk. You deserve it.“
