Daniel our waiter was very friendly and helped us pick out the best wine for our meal. I indulged in the bolognese and hubby had the redfish special ( caught fresh by the chef!). “Went to this little gem twice in two days. After having the most delicious pumpkin ravioli and side salad. Other diners enjoyed soups, salads, mahi tacos, truffle fries and Mediterranean wrap. Everyone encountered here was friendly and helpful with guiding us with our orders. They have a decent beer and wine selection for a small place (if that’s a priority) to accompany your meal. We will definitely put this on our must visit list each trip to the Ft Myers area.“

“I visited the restaurant yesterday ordered hamburger and fries to go. The hamburger was excellent. It was cooked the way I wanted it. It was very good. The service could be a little better. They weren’t really that busy and to me they really were not that friendly. they basically just wanted me to leave because I wasn’t sitting there to eat, but overall it was good and I think that everyone should visit there“

“Nice place. Our waitress was very attentive, kept our ice tea full and remembered to keep plenty of Splena on the table. I ordered the Seafood Cobb Salad. I am a Cobb Salad fan and order one where ever I go. This one was huge and I mean a 12” plate piled on. All of the individual components were plentiful 5 grilled shrimp on top, tons of cherry tomatoes, a half a pig of bacon, bleu cheese, onions, and the rest were stacked high. Only thing that would have made it better would be chopped greens. I had to get a “kitty bag” for later. Desert was their Banana Bread Pudding with toasted bananas. Again huge could have shared it with 3. Wife ordered Crème Brûlée which she wouldn’t share. Only bump was wife’s entre, Dolphin fish came out topped with tomatoes which she is deathly allergic (not mentioned on the menu) but not to worry, they made her another lickety split. Two entrées, appetizer, ice tea, desert and nice tip came to just under $100 about average for a decent Cape Coral restaurant. Big smiles on this one.????“

“My husband and I came in for a fresh seafood dinner and this restaurant did not disappoint. Our waiter, Justin, was incredible from start to finish. His extensive knowledge of the menu offerings coupled with his exuberance had us smiling and laughing like we were speaking with an old friend. We decided to create our own tasting of sorts from the fine selections of fresh seafood. Our meal included the NOLA Oysters which were baked and served with seasoned butter, the crab cake appetizer which was serving of lump crab held together by a crispy sear and no filler, as well as the chilled seafood tower. Every bite from start to finish was delectable. We had crab, lobster, tuna tartar, shrimp and oysters. Each bite was more spectacular than the previous as we sampled each offering. We have already decided the next time we are in town that this restaurant will be a must! 5 Stars out of 5!!“

“We had a fantastic dinner at GatorBites Tail & Ale. Amber, our server, was perfectly attentive and timed everything just right. Nick, the owner, added charm by working the floor as a “pretend bus boy” before joining us for a great conversation that made the evening even more memorable.

As a lifelong foodie who usually cooks high-end meals at home, I was genuinely impressed. Some of the negative reviews I’d seen beforehand now seem baffling — this place exceeded expectations across the board.

The food was outstanding. The beer-battered shrimp were the best I’ve ever had — light, crispy, and flavorful. The wings were excellent, and my wife loved her smoked pulled pork sandwich. Their signature fresh gator was also a standout. First-timers: go for the virgin breaded version — it’s far more tender and crispy than the flavored options.

Prices are very fair, especially considering the quality. The cocktails are strong and well-made, and their house IPA, Reef Donkey, was a surprise hit — easily the best IPA I’ve had.

Despite being a sports bar-style venue, it’s spotlessly clean, welcoming, and delicious. It’s a little off the beaten path, but absolutely worth the effort to find. We’ll definitely be back.“

“Another one of those little Gems. Found it this week. Needed a nice place for our 4th Anniversary Dinner:
Called and made a reservation[Recommended] and we arrived at 17:30.was greeted and served Bread. The bread alone was exceptional.
I ordered the Rack of Lamb, my wife had the Pork Chop.
I must say, outside my own Kitchen, this was “The Best” Lamb I have ever had! Succulent, Tender, and cooked perfectly. The Pork Chop was also very good, probably the Tenderest I’ve ever tasted.
The servers here are what you would expect at a Four Star Restaurant.

Housed in a beautifully remodeled turn-of-the-century home, the restaurant offers a warm and inviting atmosphere that perfectly compliments the dining experience. We ordered lasagna, spaghetti with meatballs, scallops with risotto, Caprese salad, warm bread, cheesecake, and homemade Key lime pie. The lasagna was, as always, delicious and served in a generous portion. The spaghetti came with impressively large meatballs—definitely enough to share—and was packed with flavor. The scallops were cooked to perfection, and the risotto was wonderfully creamy. The cheesecake however lacked flavor, but the homemade key lime pie was amazing! It was a fantastic meal in a charming setting—truly a wonderful evening!“

“Last night, we ended up getting stuck in the storm coming back from the Sanibel causeway. Seeking shelter, we decided to dock next to this place. Soaking wet, asked if we could sit outside and order. I believe it was Sydney that was our waitress. (Had an English accent if that helps) Service was absolutely amazing. “We were greeted by Diva in the gift shop, then our hostess who gave us a beautiful water view. Our server was Erica, and her name tag said she was originally from Port Huron, MI which immediately set the positive mood since three of our party of four had Michigan ties. One of our party just casually mentioned we were celebrating when asked what brought us to Rumrunners. \n\nErica did an awesome job of explaining the special catch of the day as well as describing other dishes which she had sampled during her three months of working at Rumrunners. All were as she described and all were delicious. Some of us ordered dessert and then were pleasantly surprised when Erica also brought a wonderful piece of chocolate cake (complimentary of course) to celebrate our special occasions which she had remembered hearing about. All in all she made it a wonderful evening. \n\nThen as we headed out, my husband wanted to look at the Rumrunners logo shirts and we were re-greeted by Diva at the gift shop. What a fun spirit with her British accent, her perseverance in finding just the right shirt, and sealing the deal with a free coozie AND a couple hilarious jokes 😄. We smiled all the way to our car and these two employees made our evening very special. Thank you both.“

“We've been going to Fathoms for years, the food, service and atmosphere are consistently superior. They offer food and drink specials, have live entertainment several nights a week, and best of all welcome our dog! You can bring your own chairs, too.“

The service was attentive and kind, nothing like what we expected from such a low rating. Honestly, our experience doesn’t match a 3.2 restaurant at all — it deserves better hence this review. And no one asked me to write it. If you’re on the fence because of the reviews, give it a try. We left very happy and will definitely come back.“
