“Great barbecue. My mom and I tried the spare ribs (the best), pulled pork, brisket, onion rings and the Brunswick stew special. They were all awesome. I don’t usually like battered onion rings but these were yummy. The owner was incredibly friendly. All in all an excellent experience and we have enough left over for another meal :)“

“Highly recommend High on the Hog for any catering needs! We hired them this past weekend for my husband’s 40th birthday to bring in some of his favorite BBQ dishes, and everything was absolutely delicious. Our guests couldn’t stop raving about the food! The portions were generous, the pricing was very reasonable, and the entire experience was seamless from start to finish. Scott was incredibly helpful from our first conversation all the way through delivery. He arrived right on time and even helped bring everything inside, which we truly appreciated. We will definitely be using High on the Hog again in the future!“

“I'm not usually a pulled pork fan, but after being offered a sample, I decided to give the pulled pork sandwich a try—and I'm so glad I did! It was honestly one of the best pulled pork sandwiches I've ever had. The flavor was perfectly balanced, not overly sweet or drenched in sauce, just delicious.

What really surprised me was how fresh the coleslaw tasted. It added the perfect crunch and freshness to the sandwich and took it to another level.

The customer service was excellent as well. Since it was my first visit, he took the time to let me sample a few items before ordering, which I really appreciated. You can tell he takes pride in both his food and his customers' experience.

“Hidden diamond in the rough. I found this place because we were driving by and I saw a smoker out and the scent was tantalizing—enough so that we made a series of left turns to get back to it once we passed it. I also had a hard time finding it on Google because I was looking for "Coe's"—that's what the little sign by the smoker had on it.This is a no-frills deal, but the goods—ribs—are good!There were a couple of gents outside smiling and watching the world go by. The lady inside was super pleasant and when she asked me what kind of sauce I wanted and I wasn't sure, she let me try both and made a mix of the two. Yum! They are generous with the sauce. I passed on the bread slices and am not sure there were any other side options. Didn't recall seeing any groceries out to speak of.Now I admit, I still prefer Hacienda Taqueria on Orange for my ribs because their ribs are leaner. But if you like a little fattier, moister rib, IMHO Coe's (aka D.C. Groc. Bar.B.Q Ribs) beats the pants of Dale's, Tillman's, and Carter's Grocery—the other places I've tried in Ft. Pierce so far.Be forewarned, this is strictly to go and not the most sparkling clean place I've ordered food from, but for me, what matters is the food, the attitude and the price. Those are all stellar. If you're driving by and the smoker is out . . . stop on in!“

“Came in for dinner as it has been on my list for a while! I have tried many BBQ places and this one definitely is at the top! First off Brittany was great! Very friendly and attentive! I got the BBQ sampler with ribs, beef and pork! The beef and pork both came thinly sliced which was great. The ribs fell off of the bone which is always a plus! I tried all three BBQ sauces and the hot was a winner for me. Now comes the part that really matters, the sides. Mac and cheese, beans and coleslaw. I have to try these three whenever I go to BBQ as I feel it says a lot about the restaurant. The Mac and cheese was great! The beans were super flavorful and came hot! The Cole slaw was absolutely on point and I would go back just for it! All in all a great experience!“
