“We dined there this evening. Wonderful food and very friendly people. They smoke their own meats with Black Jack wood and it is outstanding. Their sides are wonderful, just like mama meant them to be. There are other menu items besides BBQ, but that is their mainstay. The atmosphere is like home, very comfortable, and very positive signs in the restaurant dining area. These are very down-home people who know how to make your tummy happy. Super good place. Best BBQ anywhere around. We are from Texas originally where BBQ is king. This is better.“

“THE 4th GREAT CATERED EVENT FROM OAKWOOD WITH ERIC VILLAGERS RUN don't walk past the other Oakwood Smokehouse restaurants near you! There is a difference and it's the General Manager and Catering Guru Eric Eyerly! You will have to drive 20 mins. further BUT you will be seated immediately and they do not run out of ribs etc. Their servers are kind and efficient and the food is outstanding. CATERING for 10 or 200?? Having worked with Eric for 10 years you will not have better food at a better price, or happier diners. They go way above and beyond to deliver a great experience. Each meal was made fresh to order for each customer and seasoned well the Mac bowls, the Sandwiches, the Ribs were perfect the Dinner Plates, the Chicken and everyone's favorite were the Lemonades . “This was our first time here and we were not disappointed. We got the Grammy special for 2/3. Sliced chicken,pulled pork and ribs with green beans,collards ,mashed potatoes and potato salad. Cornbread too. ALL of it was very very good. The portion sizes are good too. We actually took some to go. Wish we had room in our stomachs for some blackberry cobbler. Next time for sure. I recommend this place 100 percent 😊“

“Me and my boyfriend went for lunch today and sat at the bar. Elliot was a fantastic bartender. He is definitely a keeper. The cheeseburgers and brussel sprouts were fabulous as well. Only complaint I have is that the cooler doors behind the bar were filthy. They definitely could use a wiping.“
