“Out of town visitors, noticing a parking lot full of cars was a calling for us to stop. We were not disappointed the restaurant was full of charm and wonderful aroma. We were lucky enough to sit at the bar with locals and have the best female bartender! Forgot to mention…the pizza was amazingly good!“

The manager made sure we were taken care of. GM and manager made our experience great. “My wife and I love going there. We always sit on the bar side. Amanda and Brianne, are the best bar tenders there. Along with Cassandra, Felicia and Sonja are recently new but are shaping up to be as good as Amanda and Brianne. They always are on top of things there no matter how busy they are. The management staff is all friendly especially Chris. We watch him help in every station there. No matter how busy they are they always take the time to say hello. We moved to the Villager's about a year and a half ago when we discovered this gem. We highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for great food at a reasonable price.“

“Artman’s is TERRIFIC. I ordered a smoked prime rib and smoked turkey for Christmas dinner. Plus, a ton of sides, etc. Everything was ready at the time of pick-up. The entire staff was extremely helpful and professional in the preparation and explanation of how to re-heat, serve, etc. The prime rib and turkey was BEYOND delicious. “A group of 4 of us went to Sammy Joe's for the Prime Rib dinner. The food was excellent, the service was top notch with such a friendly & fun staff. The Carmel cheesecake was oh so yummy. We will be back soon to try the pizza bc that looked amazing as well!“

“REVIEW VKI JAPANESE RESTAURANT
Today, 31 December 2025, my wife and I decided to have lunch at the Sakura Japanese restaurant in Colony Plaza, The Villages, Florida. We arrived at 1400 and there was a large number of people eating lunch, but seating remained available and our waiter soon appeared. We ordered a CocaCola and Green Tea while we perused the menu. My wife decided on the Tempura Bento box with pork katsu, while I chose the lunch combination of sushi and sashimi with salad and soup. We were both delighted! I found the sushi/sashimi combination to be delicious; more than I could comfortably eat after the salad with carrot-ginger dressing and clear soup. I took a taste of her pork katsu and found it surprisingly moist (much more moist and appealing than other Sakura restaurants here in The Villages). I was pleased that my tea was refilled on request.

(One interesting aside: My sashimi plate was decorated by a variety of fresh spice leaves and a mysterious nest of what appeared to be shredded daikon radish with a green glow emanating from within. The green glow turned out to be a small battery powered green LED for ambiance!) All in all, an appealing performance by this Sakura at Colony Plaza; we shall return“

“5+ stars to the City Fire restaurant and the amazing HOPE for a fantastic experience and great food. Our 14 year old Akita Wishy was warmly greeted and invited to join us at one of the outdoor patio tables. Hope was SO great with Wishy -- lots of water refills -- and finding out Hope loves dogs and that City Fire is so dog friendly just made our visit that much better. Oh and the French Dip and Burger we ordered were great -- and the Bourbon Sour -- perfect! We'll bring Wishy back for more fun soon -- and we'll be requesting one of Hope's tables for sure!“

“We went to the Fiests Grande restaurant today (2-1-25). Somebody told the manager that my husband was stealing a cup that was on another table. My husband saw the cup and was showing me how cool it was (we are seniors and if my husband liked a cup that he saw he would have asked our server if the restaurant sold them, we do not have to steal. Nor were we dressed poorly.) So, the manager came over to us, and demanded to look in my husband's bag. I felt so bad for my husband! The look on his face! He was mortified! She did not find a cup, because my husband did not take anything. She embarrassed my husband and me in front of everyone. I approched the manager and told her she was out of line and she told me she had to protect her customers...well, my husband and I were also her customers, she didn't protect us from public humiliation! She also told me " I am Mexican, I know how it feels. I don't know what she meant by that. We will never visit that restaurant again, and probably won't go to Mt. Dora again either! Needless to say, our beautiful day was ruined.“

“On July 24, 2025 went to Cheng's with a party of 8. We had a reasonable 10 minute wait and were seated.

Our server got to us promptly with our drinks and took our orders. Our food came out fast and fresh and was delicious.
