“Happening place, very busy, staff was great and cordial, made some good recommendations. Very well prepared dishes, my daughters and I enjoyed the food very much. What could have been better? The air conditioning was running at full capacity and it wasn’t enough fresh air, specially at our table close to the open kitchen. It’s early August so it’s understandable. I’m coming back again later this fall!“

“Well after seeing such great reviews for this restaurant. It has only been about a month and a half. And it shows, waitstaff was running around crazy to make sure everyone was accommodated.
Well its situated in a small strip of shops, and parking can be tricky as there are some popular venues and another restaurant there as well. We got there just at the right time, got a up front parking spot, and the last booth. they line the outer area with booths, and have tables in the middle.
Took a couple minutes for our server to get caught up, but we had some amazing appetizers, sushi and dessert was amazing too!! Sushi was amazing, presentation was awesome, and the appetizers came out hot, and the only thing i would add for the appetizers is maybe having different dipping sauces for some of them, 3 different appetizers and the same sauce for all 3.used to something a little different in that aspect, just a suggestion. The appetizers were amazing without sauce..
This restaurant is going to be a top contender in Gainesville !!

“I found this hidden gem last year and eat here at least twice a week since they opened. The food is the best Asian cuisine I’ve ever eaten! The atmosphere is warm and inviting and the owners Bennie and his wife Fannie treat each customer with ta friendly and respectful atmosphere. Their attitude is also reflected by the staff. The prices are very reasonable and portions generous. A hidden gem!!!!!!!“

“We sampled lots of sushi between us this visit. All of us enjoyed the California rolls with lobster baked on top. The volcano and rainbow were some other fresh favorites. Beautiful restaurant and the owner and waitstaff were awesome. For the people in our group that didn’t like sushi, chi cken Katsu and Beef dish were also a hit. Highly recommend this sushi restaurant!!“

“I cannot say enough good things about Chopstix. The food is so good and you can tell everything is fresh. The service is always friendly and efficient. We often celebrate big events here and last night we celebrated my husband's 60th birthday in the private dining room. I was so busy running around talking to our 18 guests that I just asked Titi Le to order appetizers for the crowd, whatever. She asked a few questions and brought out exactly enough (not too much which many places would have done from that request to boost the bill) and a good variety to keep us having a great time until our food came. We all enjoyed our meal-lots of 'Wow, taste this,' heard around the tables. Our orders were all correct as were our individual checks, which is often not the case with big parties. The most fun part of the evening was when they surprised my husband with dessert and a fun version of the happy birthday song accompanied by a gong. I didn't realize that our party was running late, but we were never hurried or asked to leave. If you have a fun occasion to celebrate CALL CHOPSTIX CAFE!“

“I went an hour before closing. And not even really an hour before closing, I came when the staff already started doing their pre closing as productive service industry workers do when they want to go tf home and go to bed. Regardless my annoying order, I ordered the two specials, the Mt. Fuji Roll BOGO and then the Katsu curry. phenomenal🥹. You could tell that the owners dont pay them for the hard work they deserve, as all chains do, and I bet whoever owns it is especially is yappy. But my fried chicken was cooked perfectly, ok frier. My rice, and sauce- yum. My sushi bomb af, and the cashier was tired as hell but customer service voice and attitude pristine. Someone came in later to me and asked the cashier a modification after not tipping and he said “of course,” and ran the modification politely. Purr.“

“We celebrated my son today, for graduating middle school and heading to the high school. The place was packed, but we were seated very quickly, and the manager allowed me to set up a lil decor display, congratulating my son’s accomplishments! The service was over the top wonderful, food was amazing (we brought a lot home) and we’ll be back! “My gf and I finally stopped in yesterday to try Ballyhoo Grill. She's not much on seafood but her coworkers wanted to go. We didn't know they had happy hour so we instantly ordered 2 rounds of Bloody Mary's. $12 for a Bloody Mary on happy hour is not much of a deal if you ask me, but we didn't find that out until we received the check. First bloody came out very thin looking and was very watered down, second came out a little darker but still very watered down. The other cocktails we ordered were very much on the weak side as well. Drinks are not their strong point at all. We did get some appetizers and they were decent. In all my years ordering gator, I've never had it served with a BBQ sauce. The gator was good but a spicy ranch or even just cocktail sauce would have been better. I ordered a full rack of ribs and let me tell you, they were great!!! Fall off the bone and very flavorful. Their garlic mashed potatoes tasted perfect as well. My gf ordered a Greek salad and it's a pretty nice portion and presented very well. They decor is cool to check out, the service is great, the food is really good but the drinks need help. We definitely will be back, especially for those ribs!!!“

“We were there recently to celebrate my son’s 16th birthday. The restaurant wasn’t busy at all, but with it being Thursday night in the summer and all the UF students gone, that could be why. The waitress was very friendly and service was very quick. We enjoyed our dishes, kids got pad Thai with chicken and beef, we got green curry with chicken and pad eggplant with beef. Everything was fresh and tasty. Crab Rangoon was melt-in-your-mouth delicious! The only thing that was a minus is they didn’t have any sushi, but we enjoyed what we ordered anyway. We would recommend this place.“
