“So delicious. A co worker turned me on to this chicken many years ago and I have to get it when I’m in the area. I always get the half or quarter chicken combo with cilantro rice and spicy beans. There was a taphouse next-door that had outdoor seating so we grabbed a drink and ate our food there. The portions were large and everything was absolutely delicious! “I have not been to the new location yet but will visit very soon. I have been coming to ichiban since i was 12-13 years old and i just rolled over to 38.it is the ONLY sushi spot i will go. The sushi is always amazing caroline makes dining inviting and enjoyable the atmosphere is always pleasant.“

It has been a while since I dined at Mission BBQ at 10440 Stelling Dr, Riverview, FL 33578. The restaurant chain which has a heavy emphasis on honoring our military service members and our civil servants, reminds everyone who enters, of the heroes who make our country great. Photos of these hero’s from all branches of our armed forces, line the walls, as do a treasure trove of memorabilia. I went with my daughter recently to see if it was still the 5 star restaurant we last visited. As we approached the cash register to order, the appetizing aroma of brisket canceled my plans to look at the menu. Devlin, our host, took our order and explained why their French fries, which go through quite a carefully detailed, almost loving process, surpass all expectations of great fries. He was right. My daughter followed my lead, we ordered some side dishes including the fries and made our way to our table. When the food arrived my first choice was the trademark brisket cooked to perfection. As I savored the first bite, my daughter said, “Wait till you try the fries.” The rest is history. As we watched military veterans and civilian diners enjoying selections from Mission’s large menu, we knew this restaurant had 5 stars shining brightly. I’m a 22 year veteran of the United States Air Force. That being said, our hats are off to Karen the Community Ambassador who oversees daily operations to ensure the customer service experience is also worthy of 5 stars. It is. Did I mention, be sure to order the French fries when you visit?“

“We stopped in here by happenstance for lunch and we’re so happy we did!! The food was SO fresh and tasty!! The Prosciutto panini was so wonderfully flavorful that I bought a second one to go! We also had the strawberry salad, a breakfast croissant and bowl of fruit and ALL were so flavorful and the best part second only to the flavor of amazing goodness is that the serving sizes were enough to pleasantly satisfy without leaving you feeling stuffed!! “My dog who passed away in March loved their strawberry shortcake. We did end of life photos in strawberry shortcake theme and even bought on from there. He passed a week later. When we told the people what we were doing they gave us an extra side of whip cream just for his end of life photos. I have these amazing photos to cherish forever“

“This guy came to my apartment complex yesterday. I love food trucks & after a hard workout, I was hungry. The owner was super friendly & took my order and gave me the food exactly as I wanted it. I got the BBQ burger w/ out onions & I am extremely impressed. I told my wife that I’ve had a few good burgers in my life but I can’t really think of any that touches this guys bbq burger! I ordered my wife 6 wings plain with the sauces separated in cups so she could have them when she got home. She was also impressed. Both items were delicious and it wasn’t insanely priced like the other trucks. Thank you for visiting our apartment & we will definitely be seeing you soon!!!!“

Door Dash picked up the wrong order, so I called and Mike (the owner) was able to get them to come back and deliver the correct one. Personally called me and also gave me loyalty credits to make up for the wait. I order from this location all the time, because my office is close by. “We went here for the first time to see our friends who were all there for the Battle of the Bands and it was great!!! Al Torchia and the Tattered Saints were playing.
The place is much bigger than one would think from the outside and it has multiple areas to check out and have different vibes. There is a back/side good size room with some games and I would think that’s where groups would watch like soccer or rugby matches. At least that’s what it reminded me of. The bar area is pretty big with high top tables some with the nice bench seats on one side so a great area to watch the bands on stage. The bartender was super nice and attentive. We didn’t get food because we got there kinda late but I’m sure we could have. Our friends did and they all said it was very good. The bands rocked the place but it has good acoustics so it never felt too loud. And even has a dance floor. Very cool place for a burger and a beer or great music.“
