“Let me start off by saying I’m from NY. I’ve been looking for a solid BEC since moving here 4 years ago. I was craving a breakfast sandwich this morning and went on a deep search in the area for one. I came across Mr.Special and figured it was worth the 9 minute drive. Had I not googled it, I doubt it would have ever stood out driving by, as it’s a non descript building. I went inside and was met by a busy but super friendly owner. He knew everyone’s name, order and made sure everyone felt seen. I waited a few minutes for my order, which wasn’t long considering how many orders they had in the 5 or so minutes I was inside. I got my food and immediately opened it in the car and was surprised by the massive sandwich I got on fresh Cuban bread. I took a bite and immediately gave it a food dance of approval. Everything was super fresh and flavors were on point! I’d post a pic but I was too hungry and enjoyed the sandwich too much to remember lol. I’ll for sure be back!“

“Last year for my small business Christmas party I want to Firehouse Subs for catering. The price was amazing. But when we set up that evening we noticed that the order was flipped, mostly veggie sandwiches and very little meat, it was ordered the other way. My husband ran to Public and got meat and Firehouse Subs refunded my money and offered to remake the order, which I declined. This year, I tried them again. It was PERFECT!! “So I ordered from GrubHub. My issue is the meat was not cut into bite size pieces. This was lunch at work and I was not provided the utensils to cut the meat. 2nd issue is, all the dressing is on the top and no where near enough for the size of the salad. Dressings should always be on the side and there should be an option to select extra or to even request it on the side. Come on Subway, you can do better!!.“
