I usually go for the Orange Chicken and Beijing Beef with fried rice—classic combo that never disappoints. The food is always hot, fresh, and they move the line pretty quickly even when it’s busy.

Not exactly a “sit and relax” kind of spot, but great for a quick lunch or dinner. Staff was friendly and kept the dining area clean. Portion sizes are solid for the price. It’s not authentic Chinese food, but for American-style Chinese takeout, it’s honestly pretty good.

“Chow Tyme offers a solid dining experience with plenty of options on the buffet. The restaurant is clean, and the staff is attentive and friendly, which definitely adds to the overall enjoyment. I sampled a variety of the chicken dishes, and while most were hearty and satisfying, they were a bit on the average side in terms of flavor. The orange chicken and peanut chicken stood out as above average, with a nice balance of sweet and savory. The wonton soup was definitely a highlight—flavorful and comforting. As for the desserts, they were, without a doubt, the best part of the meal! A great way to end the experience with a sweet note. We didn’t try many of the seafood items, except the fried shrimp, but most of it looked tasty. Overall, if you’re in the mood for a wide variety of buffet options and want a casual, filling meal, Chow Type is a good choice.“

“I ordered takeout, so I did not experience the dining room atmosphere. The woman on the phone who took my order , as well as the woman at the front counter (could be the same person) was very friendly. I got the Egg Flower (Drop) soup and the General Tsos Chicken with Steamed rice. The Egg Flower (drop) soup was some of the best I've had in a very long time! Absolutely soul soothing! The Generals chicken was not so amazing. The chicken was tough and difficult to chew at times. The sauce tasted like it had Chinese Five Spice seasoning in it, which is not the standard. It had an undertone of Star Anise that was slightly off-putting. It was recommended to me by another patron to try the Cashew Chicken, so I will order that next time. Definitely worth going back to, but I will not be ordering the Generals chicken again.“

“Literally the best lo mein on the coast. Been eating here for well over a decade, it's my go-to order for parties. My personal favorite is the shrimp lo mein(get some of their hot oil on the side as a topper, 50 cents a cup but has a great kick to it). The fried rice kinda mid, but every thing else is very good especially the egg drop soup.“

“I’ve been here twice. Once to dine in by myself and the food was incredibly fresh and so delicious. And yesterday I came in with my two young children to place a take out order to take home. They were pretty busy and my toddler was very upset and having a hard time. A woman stopped her work in the back and came out to give my kids some candy and that was just so nice and helped calm them. I already loved their food but now I appreciate them more for their patience and community support. Please support these kind people whenever you get the chance.“
