The orange chicken and peanut chicken stood out as above average, with a nice balance of sweet and savory. The wonton soup was definitely a highlight—flavorful and comforting. As for the desserts, they were, without a doubt, the best part of the meal! A great way to end the experience with a sweet note. We didn’t try many of the seafood items, except the fried shrimp, but most of it looked tasty. Overall, if you’re in the mood for a wide variety of buffet options and want a casual, filling meal, Chow Type is a good choice.“

“Literally the best lo mein on the coast. Been eating here for well over a decade, it's my go-to order for parties. My personal favorite is the shrimp lo mein(get some of their hot oil on the side as a topper, 50 cents a cup but has a great kick to it). The fried rice kinda mid, but every thing else is very good especially the egg drop soup.“

Anyhow, my food gets 5-stars. She said it would take 10-15 min and I got my order in 5 min.

The food was steaming hot and fresh ingredients were prepared. I ordered the shrimp fried rice and egg rolls. Very tasty! When inquiring about the type of egg rolls I was given at the counter a Chef told me pork egg rolls. When I got home to eat I found them to be vegetable eggs. Still very delicious. I found my overall experience to be 4.5-stars.“

“I’ve been here twice. Once to dine in by myself and the food was incredibly fresh and so delicious. And yesterday I came in with my two young children to place a take out order to take home. They were pretty busy and my toddler was very upset and having a hard time. A woman stopped her work in the back and came out to give my kids some candy and that was just so nice and helped calm them. I already loved their food but now I appreciate them more for their patience and community support. Please support these kind people whenever you get the chance.“

“Very friendly and attentive staff, everything seemed clean and the selection of food was crazy! There were as many non-chinese food items on the buffet as Chinese options so something even for the kids. The food was very good, with sooooo many choices. Food was warm (not cold or hot but good to eat). I wish it was closer because we would definitely go back. Unfortunately it's a 45 min drive for us. Definitely a good buffet.“

“I love coming here! My family's been coming here since I was a tiny baby, it's the only Chinese food I love! The foods always great, fast, great customer service, and good priced. We usually get sweet and sour chicken, Mongolian beef, rice, egg rolls, and every now and then mix it up. I've never had any complaints about going here or the food! It's definitely the best!“
