Besides the blatant price gouging, the burger itself is really darn good. We love a quality smash burger and this place makes a yummy burger.

People up front take your order and they give you a number. They turn around the screen and it asks for a tip. No waiting tables. I’ll never fully understand this. We left a tip anyways because it’s an uncomfortable/awkward interaction. The people taking orders were not overly friendly.

Bathrooms and restaurant were clean.

“This is going to be emotional for me.. My Dad grew up in St. Pete. We vacationed there every year, because it’s where he’s from and at the time, my grandmother was still alive and lived there as well. We never missed a summer. Coming here was part of that tradition. Even as an adult, my Dad and I made it a tradition to head down to St. Pete, and we would eat here a few times and take some Smoked Mackerel home with us. In the summer of 2021, we made our yearly trip down. Oddly, something felt different about this trip. My mom had left us when I was 3, so it had always just been my Dad and I. On our way out, we stopped to get something to eat and to grab some to go. Sitting there in our favorite restaurant, I told my Dad how thankful I was for him and the relationship we had. We talked about things we’ve never talked about. We talked about my mom and he wanted to make sure he did enough throughout the years. We both learned a lot that day. That was July of 2021. My Dad passed away from ALM Leukemia on November 29, 2021. That was our last trip together. I haven’t been back since but I want to. Thank you for being the greatest memory I shared with my Dad and a part of our story. Lord knows I miss the Smoked Mackerel ❤️“

“Ate there twice in 2 days. Had a burger/fries day 1 and burger cooked to perfection. I only ordered a small fry but the amount was insane. Didn’t have room to take leftovers. Day 2 I tried a hot dog and was pleased with the grilled flavor. The service was excellent from the time entering to leaving the establishment. They were considerate and wanted feedback on the food and their performance. I will be returning without a doubt.“

The food isn't too greasy.
The staff are well trained, polite, and courtious.

“We come in every two or three weeks (usually for breakfast) but today for lunch. We always request Avery. Today we were pleasantly surprised that she was still here at noon. My brother and his kids (5 years old) come to visit once a year and they wanna always want a Shesh visit at least once, a friend from Hawaii also comes and we go to Sesh, upon her last visit we noticed all what makes Shesh, Shesh has been covered up due to “some” kids being “scared” so now no one wants to go there. Terribly sad that they changed their entire theme and covered everything up that completes the experience because some parents cant just tell their kids to chill or perhaps not take their kids there if it makes them uncomfortable. Sad that is being catered to. Bring it all back please! Thats what made that place unique!“

“very disappointed in my Five Guys burger from Clearwater mall today. I ordered extra BBQ sauce and I didn't get any at all... instead I got a dry burger and I was so looking forward to my lunch today, I might as well have gotten McDonald's I was so disappointed with the burger...and the fries were super cold as well. During this time i understand things are unusual but your quality of service should be even more important right now. I regret leaving a tip.“

“Such a great vintage neighborhood dinner with an eclectic menu that separates it from other spots. I had the shrimp and grits which had a lovely presentation and was super delicious. They apparently are well known for their biscuits—can’t wait to go back to try them! The price point is fair when you consider the quality of the food. There is an also an express menu with biscuit items if you wanted to keep things on a budget.

Super friendly counter service also like a traditional dinner.

The interior is really well decorated with Knick-knacks and as the name implies, tchotchkes. Definitely has an old Florida vibe for the decor.“

The crew tonight went above and beyond to make sure my 9 year old had her fries that she thought she ordered, she didn’t but they remedied that. “Way to go guys! Felt really welcomed the moment I stepped inside by Jacob, the Manager. Really cool guy - I hadn't been here before and he gave me a great rundown on the burgers and point of difference.

I got a combo with a triple burger (not on the menu per se, but ya just upgrade a double burger). Tasted great, fresh and love that buttery bun. The fries are crinkle cut too, so nice and crisp and really good.

An honorable mention to Robert and Mike too, great guys. Jacob even checked in on me when I was half way through my burger to see how I liked it. Yeap, like the Terminator, I'll be back.
